Publication number: 20250088693Abstract: A request of a user for a content item may be received, the user being associated with at least one of a set of preferences or a context. A group of similar users may be identified based the set of preferences or the context. A number of candidate content items corresponding to the content item may be identified. A difference in a measure of interaction of a first portion of the group after being provided the candidate content item and a second portion after not being provided the candidate content item may be determined for each candidate content item of the number of candidate content items. A subset may be determined based on the difference associated with each candidate content items. A candidate content item, identified based on at least one of the difference, an activity rate, or the context, may be provided to the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 25, 2024Publication date: March 13, 2025Inventors: Prachi Gupta, Eyal Manor

Patent number: 12189497Abstract: A technique enables recovery of failover data used to generate one or more High Frequency Snapshots (HFSs) at a source and replicated to a target for storage and recovery. The target is illustratively an intermediary repository embodied as a long-term storage service (LTSS) configured to organize and store the HFSs as recovery points (RPs) in an object store. The LTSS stores a HFS identifier (ID), a logical offset in an object of the object store storing data of the HFS, and a logical timestamp associated with each replicated HFS as a key of a segment descriptor in a key-value database configured to store metadata describing the failover data of the HFS stored as one or more objects in the object store. Upon recovery of the failover data, the technique enables identification of the HFS stored in the object store and creation of a HFS index metadata structure (B+ tree) to extract the identified HFS as a RP.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2023Date of Patent: January 7, 2025Assignee: Nutanix, Inc.Inventors: Abhishek Gupta, Ajaykumar Rajubhai Bhammar, Akshay Pandita, Bhoomi Sawant, Brajesh Kumar Shrivastava, Deepak Narayan, Prachi Gupta, Siddhant Meshram

Patent number: 12073292Abstract: Balancing content distribution between a machine learning model and a statistical model provides a baseline assurance in combination with the benefits of a well-trained machine learning model for content selection. In some implementations, a server receiving requests for a content item assigns a first proportion of the received requests to a first group and assigns remaining requests to a second group. The server uses a machine learning model to select variations of the requested content item for responding to requests assigned to the first group and uses a statistical model to select content variations for requests assigned to the second group. The server obtains performance information, e.g., acceptance rates for the different variations, and compares performance of the different models used for content selection. Audience share assigned to the machine learning model is increased when it outperforms the statistical model and decreased when it underperforms the statistical model.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2017Date of Patent: August 27, 2024Assignee: GOOGLE LLCInventors: Sue Yi Chew, Deepak Ramamurthi Sivaramapuram Chandrasekaran, Bo Fu, Prachi Gupta, Kunal Jain, Thomas Price, Sarvjeet Singh, Jierui Xie
