  • Publication number: 20110274223
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and systems for automatic gain control (AGC) in a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system having two or more receiver chains, each receiver chain including a receiver and an AGC module. The AGC system accepts a signal at a compensation module associated with the receiver chain and calculates one or more gains using the AGC module associated with the receiver chain. Then, an estimation module computes a scaling factor for each receive chain from the gains and transmits the scaling factor to the compensation module of the respective receiver chain, which requantizes the signal based on the scaling factor.

  • Publication number: 20070056841
Abstract: A system and method for the manufacture of hydrogen cyanide, acrylonitrile, and acetonitrile are provided. The system comprises at least one pulsed corona discharge reactor with each pulsed corona discharge reactor having a reaction zone. At least one reactant feed stream containing hydrogen is introduced into the pulsed corona discharge reactor and contacting the catalyst wherein hydrogen is removed from the reactant to form hydrogen cyanide, acrylonitrile, and acetonitrile.

  • Publication number: 20060120948
Abstract: A membrane for hydrogen recovery from streams containing hydrogen sulfide is provided. The membrane comprises a substrate, a hydrogen permeable first membrane layer deposited on the substrate, and a second membrane layer deposited on the first layer. The second layer contains sulfides of transition metals and positioned on the on a feed side of the hydrogen sulfide stream. The present invention also includes a method for the direct decomposition of hydrogen sulfide to hydrogen and sulfur.

  • Publication number: 20050188748
Abstract: A device for the measuring membrane permeability in electrical/electrochemical/photo-electrochemical fields is provided. The device comprises a permeation cell and a tube mounted within the cell. An electrode is mounted at one end of the tube. A membrane is mounted within the cell wherein a corona is discharged from the electrode in a general direction toward the membrane thereby generating heated hydrogen atoms adjacent the membrane. A method for measuring the effects of temperature and pressure on membrane permeability and selectivity is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6451092
Abstract: A system and process for agglomerating and processing carbonaceous fines is provided. The process includes powdering the carbonaceous fines, mixing the powdered carbonaceous fines with an organic liquid creating a slurry, adding a predetermined amount of an aqueous electrolyte to the slurry creating agglomerated particles, settling the large agglomerated particles resulting in a settled mixture of agglomerated coal fines and reagent liquor, and separating the agglomerated coal fines from the reagent liquor.
