  • Publication number: 20260155049
Abstract: A method includes determining a target destination at an airside of an airport and of an aircraft, and receiving aircraft operating context data indicating a current state of the aircraft and including at least a current position of the aircraft. The method also includes receiving real-time ground operations data for the airport including instructions to move the aircraft to the target destination. The method includes determining ground navigation instructions by using both the real-time ground operations data and the aircraft operating context data. The ground navigation instructions recite a planned state of one or more engines of the aircraft. The method includes providing the ground navigation instructions in time to implement the ground navigation instructions so that the one or more engines of the aircraft are in the planned state at or before reaching the target destination as instructed by the ground navigation instructions.

Abstract: In one implementation, a method includes determining, by at least one processor, a target destination at an airport airside and of an aircraft, and receiving at least one aircraft current operating context indicating a current state of the aircraft, a current environment around the aircraft, or both. The method also includes determining, by at least one processor, at least one ground navigation guidance procedure for the aircraft to move on the airport airside and that includes (a) looking up the aircraft current operating context in a catalog of predetermined historical operating contexts of aircraft moving on the airport airside to determine a match between the aircraft current operating context and one of the historical operating contexts, and (b) identifying at least one ground navigation guidance procedure of a matching one of the historical operating contexts. The method includes providing the identified procedures to at least one operator of the aircraft.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, by at least one processor, an indication of an alert to announce on an vehicle to inform a pilot on the vehicle of an undesirable event associated with the vehicle, and automatically determining, by at least one processor, an immediate cause of the alert. The method also includes automatically determining, by at least one processor, root cause mismatch data that indicates conditions that formed the immediate cause of the alert. The mismatch data comprises a mismatch of vehicle data between data related to an expected action or inaction of the vehicle and data related to an actual action or inaction of the vehicle. • Patent number: 12175879
Abstract: Systems and methods for creating a custom approach procedure are provided. The systems and methods receive a plurality of user entered waypoints constituting a provisional custom approach procedure from a user interface. A three-dimensional (3D) flight path is constructed connecting the way points with the constraint that the 3D flight path is a descent path with no climb segments. Terrain data along the 3D flight path is obtained from a terrain database. The 3D flight path is assessed with respect to the terrain data to detect one or more terrain conflicts. An output is generated and provided to the user interface based on the detected one or more terrain conflicts.

  • Publication number: 20240308692
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for automatically forecasting service issues for an aircraft. The method accesses a service issue database that contains retrievable data regarding service issues for the aircraft. An operation flight plan for the aircraft is accessed including specific planned flight operations. The mission state of the aircraft is predicted based on the specific planned flight operations. A correlation is generated between the specific planned flight operations and any related service issues stored in the database. An advisory is generated for a crewmember of the aircraft that details any flight deck impact, avoidance procedures and mitigation procedures for the related service issues. The advisory, the flight deck impact, avoidance procedures and mitigation procedures are displayed in a graphic format to an aircrew member.

  • Patent number: 10876857
Abstract: A system for displaying wake information to a pilot of an ownship aircraft. The system includes a display and a receiver. Aircraft information is received, which includes an aircraft type, position and velocity data and aircraft configuration information for a nearby aircraft. Environmental information is also received. The system includes a processor module configured to generate, using the received aircraft information, a wake volume model for the nearby aircraft; and to modify, and using the received environmental information, the generated wake volume model; and to determine if the modified wake volume model will coincide with the ownship aircraft at a future time. When the processor module determines that the modified wake volume coincides with the ownship aircraft at a future time, the processor module is configured to cause the display to display a representation of the modified wake volume.

  • Patent number: 10755583
Abstract: A method is provided for monitoring compliance with air traffic control (ATC) instructions by an air crew of an aircraft. First, voice and text ATC commands are received by an ATC instruction moderator support system (AIMSS) located on board the aircraft. The voice and text ATC commands are converted into a data format by the AIMSS. The ATC commands are used to determine an expected aircraft state while a current aircraft state is determined by the aircraft sensors. The current aircraft state is compared with the expected state and determined if it is in compliance. If the current state is in non-compliance, it is determined if the non-compliance is allowable and it is then classified as either no action or incorrect action by the aircrew. Finally, an alert of the noncompliance is generated with the AIMSS.

  • Patent number: 10176721
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for displaying portions of a route on a coverage map that are non-compliant for a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) navigation system in an aircraft. A route compliance module defines a geodetic reference datum standard based on the GNSS navigation system. A navigation system database has compliance information corresponding to each of a plurality of airports. A flight management system determines the route of the aircraft and a visual display displays the route and the coverage map. The route compliance module identifies a non-compliant region of the coverage map that is not compliant with the geodetic reference datum standard based on the compliance information and adjusts the visual display to differentiate a non-compliant portion of the route extending within the non-compliant region of the coverage map.
