  • Patent number: 11540092
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for analyzing and optimizing conference experiences. The system may identify parameters associated with a conference between a set of User Equipment (“UEs”) used by different conference participants to access the conference. The system may compare the identified parameters to sets of parameters associated with a classification model. The system may identify, based on the comparing and the model output, a particular classification for the conference, and may calculate an impact of each conference parameter on the particular classification based on a particular parameter combination included in the model for the particular classification. The system may determine that a subset of the conference parameters has a larger impact on the particular classification than other conference parameters, may select one or more actions that are associated with the particular classification and the subset of parameters, and may perform the one or more actions.

  • Patent number: 9402054
Abstract: Embodiments are described for provision of video conference services. In some embodiments, a service connector module of a video conference system receives a request to switch a participant user of a video conference to a communication mode for the video conference received at a participant endpoint device, the request to switch is (a) a request to switch from an unidirectional communication mode to a bidirectional communication mode, or (b) a request to switch from the bidirectional communication mode to the unidirectional communication mode, determining information on at least one distribution capability from one or more interactions with the participant endpoint device, determines a distribution scheme for the communication mode using the at least one distribution capability, sends a request to establish a connection with the endpoint device using the distribution scheme, receives a notification on establishment of the connection, and sends a request to terminate a prior connection.

  • Patent number: 7502823
Abstract: Method and apparatus relating to building distributed fault-tolerant/high-availability computer applications are described. In an embodiment, a system may include an application, a router, and an update module. The application may execute a process in a pure distributed mode, a pure fault tolerant mode, or a distributed fault tolerant mode. The router may route communications between the application and another application independent of location of the applications. The update module may provide distributed functionality in the application. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050193229
Abstract: Software architecture for developing distributed fault-tolerant systems independent of the underlying hardware architecture and operating system. Systems built using architecture components are scalable and allow a set of computer applications to operate in fault-tolerant/high-availability mode, distributed processing mode, or many possible combinations of distributed and fault-tolerant modes in the same system without any modification to the architecture components. The software architecture defines system components that are modular and address problems in present systems. The architecture uses a System Controller, which controls system activation, initial load distribution, fault recovery, load redistribution, and system topology, and implements system maintenance procedures. An Application Distributed Fault-Tolerant/High-Availability Support Module (ADSM) enables an application(s) to operate in various distributed fault-tolerant modes.
