  • Publication number: 20240331576
Abstract: Polymorphic encryption is described in a way to restrict access and enhance security of a secure data access system. In one example, a data vault has a first copy of a value being encrypted according to a first encryption scheme to enable a first operation on the first copy when the first copy is encrypted without decrypting the first copy and a second copy being encrypted according to a second encryption scheme. A governance layer has at least a first policy configured to enable the first operation, the governance layer configured to permit the first operation for an authenticated user. An interface layer has roles supporting a selected policy, the interface layer further comprising a user interface to receive user credentials, to link the credentials to a role and to send an authentication of the user and the role to the governance layer.

  • Publication number: 20230351348
Abstract: A method may include determining a combination of values of attributes represented by reference data associated with payment transaction by training a machine learning model based on an association between (i) respective values of the attributes and (ii) the payment transactions having a given result. The combination may be correlated with having the given result. The method may also include selecting a subset of the payment transactions that is associated with the combination of values. The method may additionally include determining a first rate at which payment transactions of the subset have the given result during a first time period and a second rate at which one or more payment transactions associated with the combination have the given result during a second time period, and generating an indication that the two rates differ.

  • Patent number: 11238019
Abstract: Partitions are enabled to be merged in storage device of distributed database systems. A request to merge a plurality of source partitions into a merged partition is received. Each source partition stores a plurality of data items having corresponding source global identifiers and corresponding source local identifiers. The data items, with corresponding metadata, are appended from the source partitions to an intermediate storage structure in an order defined by the source local identifiers. Target global identifiers and target local identifiers are generated for each of the data items in the intermediate storage structure. The copied data items are flushed from the intermediate storage structure to the merged partition in an order defined by the target global identifiers. The source partitions and intermediate storage structure may then be purged of data, removed, and/or reused for further storage needs.

  • Patent number: 11210270
Abstract: A system that maps files into multiple parts and initiates storage of each part within a respective storage provider. The mapping facilitates this by correlating each of the multiple parts to a corresponding storage provider which may be different than the storage provider that stores a different part of the same file. The system then initiates storage of the multiple parts of the file in each of their corresponding storage provider in accordance with the mapping, and using a storage-provider-facing API. Similarly, retrieval and/or editing of a partial file may be accomplished by referencing the mapping, and using the same API issued to the appropriate storage provider. Each storage provider is capable of interfacing with the system using this same API.

  • Patent number: 10758966
Abstract: Self-piercing rivets deployed in an elongated tape are moved into alignment with a rivet driving spindle using a processor-controlled servomotors. The tape is conveyed between a supply reel and an exhaust reel, the supply reel having a supply motor and the exhaust reel having an exhaust motor. The tape is moved under processor control in an advancing direction until the rivet has traveled past being in alignment with the spindle, by controlling the supply and exhaust motors using a first tension regimen. Thereafter the tape is moved under processor control in a retracting direction until the rivet is in alignment with the spindle by controlling the tape supply and exhaust motors using a second tension regimen.
