    Abstract: A one-way flow valve is provided wherein the one-way flow valve may comprise a first section and a second section of a housing. A valve member may be disposed between the first and second sections of the housing that permit fluid flow through one direction of the one-way flow valve but prevents fluid from flowing in the reverse direction. The opening pressure (i.e., the pressure differential across the valve member) to permit flow through the one-way flow valve may be increased or decreased by inserting (e.g., threadably engaging) the second section of the housing deeper into the first section of the housing or withdrawing (e.g., threadably disengaging) the second section of the housing from the first section of the housing.

    Abstract: A low actuation pressure, unidirectional flow valve comprising a housing including a fluid flow passage extending therethrough which defines first and second sections. Disposed within the housing between the first and second sections is a valve member. The valve member comprises an annular ring portion having a disc portion disposed therewithin. Extending between the ring and disc portions are at least two spirally shaped connecting arm portions. The ring, disc and connecting arm portions define at least two side openings. The valve member is movable between a closed position wherein the disc portion covers and seals the first section of the flow passage, and an open position wherein the disc portion is separated from the first section and fluid flows from the first section to the second section via the side openings.

    Abstract: A shrouded tubing interface for quickly connecting, disconnecting and avoiding contamination of first and second fluid flow lines comprising male and female connectors, each of which are connected to a respective one of the fluid flow lines. The male connector includes a first tubular portion defining a distal tip and a tapered outer surface, while the female connector includes a second tubular portion having a distal tip and a tapered inner surface. The tapered surfaces of the first and second tubular portions are mutually tapered such that the first and second tubular portions are axially interfittable. The male and female connectors further include first and second tubular skirt portions, respectively, associated with and extending about the respective tubular portions which are adapted to prevent contact to respective ones of the distal ends, and are further positioned to radially and axially overlap when the tubular portions are brought into interfitting engagement at the tapering surfaces.

    Abstract: A device for limiting the applied vacuum in a fluid suctioning system comprising a chamber having an inlet at which a suction level or levels V.sub.x is or are to be maintained, and an outlet to which vacuum level V.sub.2 is applied, wherein V.sub.x <V.sub.2, fluid being sucked through the shapes via the inlet and outlet; an annular seat in the chamber, the chamber containing an upstream flow zone R.sub.1 between the inlet and the seat, and a downstream flow zone R.sub.2 between the seat and the outlet; and a diaphragm at the upstream side of the seat and extending crosswise thereof and crosswise of at least a portion of the zone R.sub.1, the diaphragm carried for movement toward the seat when the vacuum level in R.sub.1 rises to a predetermined level, to reduce or block fluid flow through the chamber, the diaphragm movable away from the seat when the vacuum level in R.sub.1 falls below a predetermined level.
