Abstract: A method for manufacturing a wiring harness on the basis of into one or more GIF or animation-based engineering files is disclosed. The 1:1 scale engineering drawing of a wiring harness is converted into one or more GIF or animation-based engineering files through a format conversion module. The GIF or animation-based engineering files are distributed to a plurality of manufacturing units. Thereafter, the one or more GIF or animation-based engineering files are projected onto a reusable build board by a projection setup module. The various components of the wiring harness are secured on the reusable build board through clamps. A quality check module checks the accuracy of component placement with respect to the one or more GIF or animation-based engineering files. Thereafter, an onboarding testing module performs real-time validation of the assembled wiring harness on the reusable build board.
