  • Patent number: 10219240
Abstract: A method and system for enabling a User Equipment (UE) to quickly recover back to normal service on failure of registration attempt to a selected Closed Subscriber Group (CSG) cell or loss of coverage of the selected CSG cell is provided. The method provides a UE behavior during manual CSG selection mode when the selected CSG cell is associated with a different Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) than the Registered PLMN (RPLMN) of the UE. The method also defines the UE actions to handle a user request to change a current Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) selection mode and handle expiry of a Home PLMN (HPLMN) timer in the UE, when the UE is attached to the selected CSG cell in the manual CSG selection mode.

  • Patent number: 10142890
Abstract: A method and system for minimizing delay in circuit-switched fallback (CSFB) procedure is disclosed. The disclosed method provides two different approaches for optimizing the delay during the CSFB procedure. In the first approach, user equipment (UE) receives a Location Area Identifier (LAI along with the Radio Access Technology (RAT) information from the network (LTE network). The UE uses the received RAT information from the network for switching to the target Radio Access Network (RAN) without informing to the LTE network. In another approach, the UE obtains the RAT information by performing a background scan in idle mode, when the UE receives LAI without RAT information from the network.

  • Publication number: 20180093097
Abstract: A system for a neurostimulator coupled to electrodes, and a method of providing therapy to a patient using the electrodes implanted within the patient. A target multipole relative to the electrodes is defined. The target multipole is emulated by defining an initial electrical current distribution for the electrodes, such that a first set of active electrodes respectively has electrical current values of a first polarity. Each of the electrical current values of the first polarity is compared to a first threshold value, and at least one of the electrodes in the first active electrode set is zeroed-out based on the comparison. The electrical current value of each of the zeroed-out electrode(s) is redistributed to remaining ones of the electrodes to define a new electrical current distribution for the electrodes. Electrical current is conveyed to the electrodes in accordance with the new electrical current distribution, thereby providing the therapy.

  • Publication number: 20170160278
Abstract: The disclosure relates to methods for assessing the suitability of a tissue obtained from a vertebrate (e.g., human) donor for grafting to a recipient, such as another vertebrate of the same species. The method involves contacting leukocytes obtained from the donor with serum from the recipient. Binding between recipient antibodies and the leukocytes is assessed, specifically focusing on the subtype(s) of IgG antibodies which bind with donor leukocytes. Detected binding between recipient antibodies of subtypes IgG1 and IgG3 indicates that the donor tissue is not suitable for grafting to the recipient. Detected binding between recipient antibodies of subtypes IgG2 and/or IgG4 indicates that the donor tissue can suitably be grafted to the recipient.

The proposed method handles the EPS Session Management (ESM), Short Message Service (SMS) or voice call or data when a User Equipment (UE) is waiting for TAU accept. The method allows UE to inform the network with specific Information Element (IE) in TAU complete message, so that the network will take the next action. This will help to provide quick services to the user. Using the “CONN REQ TYPE” IE, in TAU complete, to handle all abnormal Cases for Circuit Switches (CS) services/data services in E-UTRAN (Evolved UTRAN) network.
