  • Patent number: 11934981
Abstract: A technique is described for implementing drones as a service. As an example, a drone may receive instructions from one or more network elements, coordinate operations with the one or more network elements, and perform at least one task associated with the instructions. The drone may deliver a container to a first location and perform object recognition to validate an object of a subscriber being delivered to a second location. The drone may measure the weight and dimensions of the object to confirm the object is within operating guidelines. After verifying the object is within operating guidelines, the drone may transport the container containing the object to the second location.

  • Patent number: 11713121
Abstract: Techniques are provided for implementing automated contagion detection and remediation (ACDR) features to detect and remediate environmental contagion conditions. For example, ACDR techniques can be used to target contagion contamination on surfaces in a trafficked area, rather than focusing detecting and remediating human symptoms. ACDR systems can include swarms of specially configured drones under control of one or more centralized controllers to detect presence of one or more types of pathogens on surfaces and to classify detected contagion events. In some embodiments, upon such detection, the same or other specially configured drones can be triggered to remediate the detected condition by removing the pathogen by disinfecting surfaces, by cordoning off infected areas, and/or in other ways. Some embodiments can further log and aggregate data relating to detected contagion events to support tracking, remediation, enforcement, protocol updating, research, and/or other efforts.

  • Publication number: 20230008274
Abstract: A facility for operating an application on a server having a number of processors is described. The facility receives a number of application requests, each addressed to one of a plurality of instances of the application executing on the server. The facility causes each received application request to be processed in the application instance to which it was addressed, using exclusively processing resources of a selected one of the plurality of processors on which the application instance was invoked, using exclusively memory locations served by memory modules to which the selected processor is directly connected.

  • Publication number: 20220351529
Abstract: Systems and methods are directed towards the interpretation of driver intent relative to other vehicles. A computing device within a vehicle includes at least one camera, an output device, and circuitry. The computing device captures images of an area outside of the vehicle. The computing device identifies another vehicle relative to the vehicle. The computing device determines a driving intent of the driver, such as based on an analysis images or audio of the driver. The computing device determines whether the vehicle is moving within a threshold time after determining the driving intent. If the vehicle is moving within the threshold time, then the driver is identified as engaging in aggressive driving towards the other vehicle. The computing device may also provide information to the other vehicle indicating the driving intent of the driver.

  • Patent number: 11447147
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards the interpretation of driver behavior and communication with autonomous vehicles and incentivizing drivers based on the driver's behavior. A computing device that sits on the dashboard of a vehicle includes at least one camera and circuitry. The computing device captures first images of the driver in the vehicle and second images of an area outside the vehicle. The computing device identifies another vehicle based on an analysis of the second images. The computing device determines a driving behavior of the driver based on an analysis of the first images. The computing device determines if the driving behavior satisfies a positive incentive threshold or a negative incentive threshold. The computing device selects and provides a positive or negative incentive to the driver in response to the driving behavior satisfying the positive incentive threshold or the negative incentive threshold, respectively.

  • Patent number: 11423672
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards the interpretation of driver intent and communication of that intent with autonomous vehicles at a traffic intersection. A computing device that sits on the dashboard of a vehicle includes at least one camera, an output device, and circuitry. The computing device captures first images of the driver in the vehicle and second images of the traffic intersection. The computing device identifies another vehicle at or approaching the intersection based on an analysis of the second images. The computing device determines an attention direction and hand movement of the driver based on an analysis of the first images to determine a driving intent of the driver. The computing device provides information to the other vehicle indicating the driving intent of the driver. The computing device may also obtain the driving intent of the other vehicle and provide information to the driver indicating the other vehicle's intent.

  • Patent number: RE49926
Abstract: A system and method for providing network and port address translation is provided. A global IP address and a block (chunk) of ports are allocated for each mobile subscriber (MS) on first data connection. Subsequent data connections from the same MS are assigned the same IP address and a new port from this block. The mapping information is communicated, processed, and stored once for the complete block, instead of for every new data connection. This process reduces processing, communication, and storage requirements.
