    Abstract: A method for controlling a robotic system includes determining a location and/or a pose of a power system component based on data received from one or more sensors, and determining a mapping of a location of a robotic system within a model of an external environment of the robotic system based on the data. The model of the external environment provides locations of objects external to the robotic system. A sequence of movements of components of the robotic system is determined to perform maintenance on the power system component based on the locations of the objects external to the robotic system and/or the location or pose of the power system component. One or more control signals are communicated to remotely control movement of the components of the robotic system based on the sequence or movements of the components to perform maintenance on the power system component.

    Abstract: A method for sparse optical flow based tracking in a computer vision system is provided that includes detecting feature points in a frame captured by a monocular camera in the computer vision system to generate a plurality of detected feature points, generating a binary image indicating locations of the detected feature points with a bit value of one, wherein all other locations in the binary image have a bit value of zero, generating another binary image indicating neighborhoods of currently tracked points, wherein locations of the neighborhoods in the binary image have a bit value of zero and all other locations in the binary image have a bit value of one, and performing a binary AND of the two binary images to generate another binary image, wherein locations in the binary image having a bit value of one indicate new feature points detected in the frame.

    Abstract: An automatic transmission ratio shift control system and method for a powertrain having an engine and multiple-ratio gearing controlled by friction elements actuated by hydraulic pressure, an electronic controller for establishing torque transitions among the friction elements as the gear ratio changes, the engine speed being controlled by an electronic throttle control. The strategy employs an electronic throttle and closed loop engine speed control and uses fuel and air as an energy source to increase engine speed during a power-off downshift. The engine speed is boosted to a level close to the synchronous speed in conjunction with release of the off-going friction element. The on-coming friction element is then applied as the engine speed approaches a desired speed. The engine speed increase is timed to lead an increase in torque converter speed.

Annotation resource is a collection of feature-specific domain objects. A domain object contains geometry of the feature and plurality of attributes. Geometry of feature is created by graphically annotating with freeform drawing tools on a transparent layer placed on top of the image. Attribute values may be computed automatically, manually entered or hyperlinked to a resource. The annotation resource will be stored in a database separate from the image, and cataloged in a metadata repository. This will allow users to perform search based on feature-level attributes to retrieve and display the annotation resource with the associated image.

    Abstract: Estradiol facilitates non-viral gene delivery to breast tumor cells. The effect is dose dependent, and is independent of the gene construct, temperature, and tumor cell line. Thus, compositions and treatment regimens that use estradiol, or other estrogen pharmacologic agents, in combination with genes of interest can be used to provide targeted delivery and expression of genetic products in target cells and tissues of estrogen, such as breast cells. The compositions and treatment regimens have particular application to the enhanced delivery of genetic constructs useful in killing breast tumor cells and preventing tumor recurrence.
