An edge device, according to one implementation, includes one or more User-to-Network Interface (UNI) ports and a plurality of Network-to-Network Interface (NNI) ports. The edge device also includes a processing device and a memory device configured to store a computer program having instructions. The instructions, when executed, allow the processing device to provide network security on a Media Access Control (MAC) layer, the network security defined by the MAC Security (MACsec) protocol. The instructions also allow the processing device to provide network path protection by enabling packet routing over multiple paths via the plurality of NNI ports on a network layer.

The systems and methods can further include automatically deleting the MEP responsive to failing to receive any OAM PDUs from the master/active network device during the operating for a predetermined time.

    Abstract: The present subject matter relates to co-producing H-CNG and CNTs. The process comprises adding catalyst to a first reactor (110) and activating the catalyst and performing a reaction to obtain H-CNG and CNTs. At a first predetermined time after reaction has progressed in the first reactor (110), catalyst is added to a second reactor (120), activated, and then the reaction proceeds simultaneously in the first reactor (110) and second reactor (120). The use of multiple reactors with staggered start times helps in the continuous co-production of H-CNG and CNTs. Catalyst preparation process is integrated with the co-production process for efficient heat recovery. The first and second reactors are fluidized bed reactors with cantilever trays having weirs for controlling the residence time of the catalyst in the reactor and thereby controlling the purity of CNTs produced.

In an embodiment, B-frames are not used as reference frames for encoding P-frames and other B-frames. Non-use of B-frames allows a de-blocking filter used in the video encoder to be switched off when reconstructing encoded B-frames, and use of a lower complexity filter for fractional-resolution motion search for B-frames. In another embodiment, cost functions used in motion estimation for B-frames are simplified to reduce computational complexity. In one more embodiment, fractional pixel refinement in motion search for B-frames is simplified. In yet another embodiment, predictors used in motion estimation for a macro-block in a P-frame are selected from a B-frame that uses a same reference frame as the P-frame.

    Abstract: A system for a high-efficiency planting operation for a work machine for planting saplings. The system comprises a conveying unit to store at least one tray of saplings and to transport the tray of saplings towards a gripping unit. The gripping unit retrieves at least one sapling from the tray and to release at least one sapling towards an indexing unit. The indexing unit is coupled to the gripping unit and individually releases a sapling for planting. A planting unit receives the sapling from the indexing unit and delivers the sapling into a ground. A sensing module is coupled to a plurality of sensors to detect a set of parameters and generates data input signals based on the parameters. A controller receives the data input signals and provides feedback to the conveying unit, the indexing unit or the planting unit to adjust actuators in response to the data input signals.

This failure is indicated by a large value of the inter mode SAD. This invention performs intra mode prediction for only macro blocks have larger inter mode SADs. The definition of a large inter mode SAD differs for different content. This invention compares the inter mode SAD of a current macroblock with an adaptive threshold. This adaptive threshold depends on the average and variance of the SADs of the previous predicted frame. An adaptive threshold is calculated for each new predictive frame.

    Abstract: This invention presents a novel voice-based social network, where users can compose, explore, and share voice posts. Users optionally attach a picture or video and category. Each voice post is visualized as a text on the top of the picture as an overlay. Text is highlighted with a synced part-of the speech.
