  • Publication number: 20240118912
Abstract: In one aspect, a computerized method useful for saving a virtual machine comprising: creating a virtual machine on a hypervisor; issuing a request to a central orchestrator to save the virtual machine, wherein the central orchestrator is accessed via a monitor interface, and wherein the central orchestrator communicates with a plurality of virtual machines that includes the virtual machine; with the central orchestrator, connecting to a hypervisor manager located on the hypervisor where the virtual machine is located on the hypervisor and passes a set of information comprising a VM storage image location.

  • Publication number: 20230222355
Abstract: The invention provides a distributed neural network communication system for optimizing video analytics inference on an edge computing device. The system includes an edge system and a cloud system communicatively coupled to each other, the edge system being configured to receive an input data stream from an input device and to conduct partial or preliminary feature extraction at the edge system, and the cloud system being configured to communicate with the edge system to receive an extracted feature vector from the edge system and to conduct further feature extraction at the cloud system to yield a final feature vector, thereby enhancing accuracy of a neural network of the distributed neural network communication system. A distributed neural network communication method and a computer program product for distributed neural network communication are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11695691
Abstract: Systems and methods for supporting dual-port virtual router in a high performance computing environment. In accordance with an embodiment, a dual port router abstraction can provide a simple way for enabling subnet-to-subnet router functionality to be defined based on a switch hardware implementation. A virtual dual-port router can logically be connected outside a corresponding switch port. This virtual dual-port router can provide an InfiniBand specification compliant view to a standard management entity, such as a Subnet Manager. In accordance with an embodiment, a dual-ported router model implies that different subnets can be connected in a way where each subnet fully controls the forwarding of packets as well as address mappings in the ingress path to the subnet.

  • Publication number: 20200104152
Abstract: In one aspect, a computerized method includes the step of providing a first virtual machine on first server. The method includes the step of, with the first virtual machine, communicating a network traffic to a second virtual machine on a second server using a virtual network identified with a virtual local area network (VLAN). The method includes the step of, with a virtual function (VF) on a physical network interface controller (pNIC) of the second server, assigning to the VLAN to a specified VF. The method includes the step of, sending a data packet is sent out of the pNIC towards a TOR switch, wherein the TOR switch has the VLAN enabled and other user specific policies configured. The method includes the step of, sending the data packet to a second TOR switch. The method includes the step of, with the second TOR switch, sending the data packet towards the pNIC on the second server based on a destination the second virtual machine's MAC address.
