  • Patent number: 6110387
Abstract: This invention describes a method for stabilizing bromine biocides in water. A water-soluble bromide salt and a sulfamate source are added to a body of water, and then an oxidant is added to the body of water to form the biocidal bromine species.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 22, 1999
Date of Patent: August 29, 2000
    Assignee: Albemarle Corporation
Inventors: Pranab Choudhury, Robert L. Davis, Michael J. Sanders, David N. Roark
  • Patent number: 5010157
Abstract: Organosilazanes having higher prepolymerization molecular weights are prepared by subjecting to elevated temperatures in a dry atmosphere the total reaction mixture resulting from the ammonolysis of an organohalosilane in an organic solvent. Their higher molecular weights expedite the polymerization of the organosilazanes to preceramic polysilazanes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 30, 1989
Date of Patent: April 23, 1991
    Assignee: Ethyl Corporation
