Abstract: A guided procurement system for guiding the buyer for procuring when the item to be purchased is not present in the catalog database, which is an integration of a procurement tool, supplier information system tool and supplier performance system tool. The system includes a processor unit and a computer readable medium storing instructions executable by the processor unit, including a first procurement guiding module that is adapted for guiding the requester for procurement when the item is not available in the catalog database, and a second procurement guiding module that is adapted for guiding the procurement team or the buyer for procurement from the right supplier. The system is adapted for guiding the buyer while procuring by suggesting the source of procurement based on the user provided information on a web form. It further guides by suggesting the supplier from which a particular item can be procured.

Abstract: Computer based procurement systems and methods are described. The systems and methods include receiving search input for an item to be purchased and searching one or more electronic catalogs to identify at least one item in the one more catalogs that relates to the search input. The systems and methods also include determining a uniform taxonomy code (UTC) associated with the at least one item and accessing one or more pre-configured purchasing control rules associated with the UTC. Moreover, the systems and methods include performing actions associated with purchase order generation based at least upon the one or more pre-configured purchasing control rules.

Abstract: A system for customizing information in e-procurement process, including a selecting system adapted for selecting item(s) to be procured from catalog database, which further includes a suggesting system adapted for suggesting if the item being selected by the user is a custom made item and providing a link or button for customization for the custom made item, and a customization system adapted for customizing information in the e-procurement process by generating a category-specific web-based form based at least upon one or more pre-configured decision rules. The system helps to order custom required goods, which aids in providing custom requirements and specifications through web-based forms at the time of ordering and thus avoids mentioning of custom requirements each and every time when the item is ordered.

Abstract: A system is described for flipping of purchase orders into invoices within an e-procurement software tool. When a purchase order is sent to a supplier network/portal system, information of the items is retrieved from the purchase order, which is stored on a computer readable storage medium of the supplier network/portal system, followed by comparing the item inputs or pre-determined fields on the invoice with purchase orders to obtain a first compared output, followed by comparing the first compared output with a tolerance limit to obtain a second compared output, followed by copying and flipping the information into the invoice.

Abstract: A computer based procurement system including a processor unit and a computer readable medium storing instructions executable by the processor unit. The system permits receiving requisition orders for goods. The system also permits receiving inputs confirming receipt of goods, wherein the inputs confirming the receipt are generated by flipping the associated requisition orders. Moreover, the system permits analyzing the goods receipts against the requisition orders using one or more predetermined criteria and generating indication for missing goods.
