  • Publication number: 20230259870
Abstract: A method (500) and server system (200) for multi-enterprise freight load consolidation and optimization is disclosed. Real-freight activity data associated with shippers for delivering shipping consignments within a particular time window is accessed. Shipping delivery clusters are generated based on the real-freight activity data. A first loading plan for consolidating first shipping consignments related to a first shipping delivery cluster into a freight vehicle moving in a forward freight direction is generated based on a first collaborative enterprise policy of the first shipping delivery cluster and first consignee constraints. A second loading plan for consolidating second shipping consignments related to a second shipping delivery cluster into the freight vehicle moving in a reverse freight direction is generated based on a second collaborative enterprise policy of the second shipping delivery cluster and second consignee constraints.

  • Patent number: 11144363
Abstract: A workflow orchestration service coordinates the performance of a workflow. The workflow is accomplished by performing a task on each resource in a set of resources. In an embodiment, the resources are virtual computer system instances and the task is a set of commands to be run on each of the virtual computer system instances. As a result of a request, the workflow orchestration service initiates a task instance for each resource in the set of resources in accordance with a set of workflow parameters. In an embodiment, the workflow parameters include a parameter that limits the number of concurrent active task instances. In an embodiment, the workflow parameters identify condition that aborts the performance of the workflow. In an embodiment, upon failure of a task instance, the workflow orchestration service rolls back the state of an associated resource to a state before the task was initiated.

  • Patent number: 10277522
Abstract: In a network-based services platform, customer resources may be automatically associated with a resource creator. Upon receipt of a request to create a computing resource, the computing resource may be created and thereafter executed within the network-based services platform. In response to the request, an entity associated with the request may be identified. In response to the identification of the entity, the computing resource may be automatically associated with the identified entity specifying the entity as the creator of the computing resource. In some embodiments, a cost of operating the resource over a period of time may be calculated, and the cost allocated to the identified entity based at least in part on the creator-to-resource association that was automatically generated upon creation of the resource. In this manner, a usage allocation report may be provided to the customer that shows the cost associated with the entity.

  • Patent number: 9740701
Abstract: Implementations disclosed herein provide for cauterizing portions of a snapshot. A file and/or directory or a set of files and directories of a snapshot can be identified via a user request or an automated process for cauterization. When cauterized, if a previous snapshot does not contain a ditto entry to the portion of the current snapshot that is requested to be cauterized, the BADDR associated with the cauterized portion of the snapshot can be freed for other storage use. In some implementations, metadata associated with the data that is cauterized can be retained for other uses.
