  • Publication number: 20240147325
Abstract: A target cell receives a handover message originating from a source cell for a user equipment (UE) and receives buffered data for one or more protocol data unit (PDU) Sets in transition between the source cell and the UE. The target cell receives PDU Set information for the one or more PDU Sets and communicates with the UE based on the PDU Set information for the one or more PDU Sets. A source cell sends or receives a portion of a PDU Set with a UE. The apparatus initiates a handover of the UE to a target cell, provides buffered data for the PDU Set to the target cell, and provides PDU Set information for the PDU Set to the target cell.

  • Publication number: 20240147520
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a message indicating that the UE is to execute a make-before-break handover procedure. The UE may transmit, during the make-before-break handover procedure and based at least in part on a prioritization rule, a first uplink communication to a target base station. The prioritization rule may indicate a relative priority for different uplink communications included in a group of uplink communications. The group of uplink communications may include at least the first uplink communication to be transmitted by the UE to the target base station and a second uplink communication to be transmitted by the UE to a source base station during the make-before-break handover procedure. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Patent number: 11956697
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication that indicates whether a multicast and broadcast service (MBS) physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) scheduled by downlink control information (DCI) is associated with a second PDSCH processing capability, wherein the second PDSCH processing capability has a shorter duration than a first PDSCH processing capability. The UE may receive, from the base station, the MBS PDSCH scheduled by the DCI. The UE may transmit, to the base station and based at least in part on the indication, hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) feedback in accordance with the first PDSCH processing capability or the second PDSCH processing capability. • Publication number: 20240089947
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for broadcast communications that originate at a wide area network to be provided to a local area network (LAN), that uses a different radio access technology, to complete the broadcast communications to a user equipment (UE). A device that receives the broadcast communications, such as a customer premises equipment (CPE) may decode broadcast data from the broadcast communications and provide the broadcast data to a LAN scheduler along with one or more parameters associated with the broadcast data. The LAN scheduler may establish a separate background access category (AC) queue for the broadcast data, and may transmit data from the broadcast AC queue based on one or more threshold values.

  • Publication number: 20240089997
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may support both unicast and multicast downlink signaling, such as on a single component carrier (CC). A UE may receive a unicast message over a first CC during a transmission time interval (TTI) using a first set of processing resources. The UE may simultaneously receive a multicast message over the first CC during the same TTI using a second set of processing resources. The first and second sets of processing resources may be associated with first and second hybrid automatic repeat request (HARM) soft buffers, first and second CCs, or first and second transmit/receive points (TRPs).

  • Publication number: 20240089826
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for multicast communications that originate at a wide area network (WAN) using a first RAT to be provided to a local area network (LAN) that uses a second RAT that is used to complete the multicast communications to a user equipment (UE). A scheduler of the second RAT may use one or more parameters associated with the multicast communications to prioritize transmission of the multicast data to one or more UEs. The scheduler of the second RAT may prioritize the multicast communications with other communications of the second RAT based on one or more of a number of clients served, a quality of service (QoS) or bandwidth of the multicast communications, a capability of the UEs, one or more other data flows, a feedback scheme associated with the multicast communications, or any combinations thereof.

  • Patent number: 11910277
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a first base station and a second base station may be neighbor base stations and the first base station may receive, from the second base station, information relating to a multicast-broadcast services (MBS) session context of an MBS session supported by the second base station. The first base station may use the received MBS session context information to control communication or connections between the first base station and one or more user equipment (UEs) that are served by the first base station. For example, the first base station may use the received MBS session context information for target cell selection in a handover procedure, an MBS-specific measurement configuration, interference avoidance, or system information block (SIB) construction, among various other use cases.

  • Patent number: 11909524
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently retransmitting radio link control (RLC) protocol data units (PDUs) to one or more UEs. When a user equipment (UE) fails to receive or decode an RLC PDU transmitted by a base station, the UE may transmit a status PDU to the base station indicating that the UE failed to receive or decode the RLC PDU. The base station may receive the status PDU from the UE, and the base station may generate a repair PDU that includes redundant bits of the lost PDU (e.g., the PDU that the UE failed to receive or decode). The base station may then transmit the repair PDU to the UE, and the UE may use the redundant bits in the repair PDU (e.g., in combination with buffered PDUs) to attempt to correctly decode the lost PDU.

  • Patent number: 11909535
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration for a multicast or broadcast radio bearer (MRB) in a radio link control (RLC) acknowledged mode (AM). The UE may determine an adjustment of an RLC AM transmission window of a base station. The RLC AM transmission window may be associated with retransmission of RLC packets associated with the MRB. The UE may synchronize an RLC AM reception window of the UE with the RLC AM transmission window based at least in part on determining the adjustment of the RLC AM transmission window of the base station. The RLC AM reception window may be associated with reassembly of RLC packets associated with the MRB. Numerous other aspects are provided.
