  • Patent number: 11040828
Abstract: Modular transfer units are configured to transport bins or other storage units of standard shapes and sizes between locations. The modular transfer units may be loaded with bins or other storage units having items disposed therein at origins of the items, or at locations where the items are stored, such as fulfillment centers. The modular transfer units may then be mounted to one or more vehicles, such as trailers or rail cars, and transported to another location, where the modular transfer units may be removed from the vehicle, or transferred to another vehicle. The bins or other storage units may be loaded with items that are intended for delivery to a common location. After a bin or storage unit has been unloaded from a modular transfer unit, one or more other bins or storage units may be loaded thereon.

  • Publication number: 20210182170
Abstract: Application testing using non-emulated operating system assistance without rebooting a hardware host is provided. A user specified build job for executing the application based on a load test is received. The hardware host is selected from a pool of hardware hosts. The hardware host is configured based on the user specified build job to provide the non-emulated operating system assistance while executing the application based on the load test. The application is executed based on the load test including communications between a client and servers while using the non-emulated operating system assistance. The hardware host is returned to the pool of hardware hosts. The hardware host is available upon the returning for use of subsequent load tests without rebooting the hardware host.

  • Patent number: 11023306
Abstract: User-to-software-application-instance-pairings are created. Each of the pairings is a unique relationship between one of the users and one of the instances of the software applications. Identifiers for the user-to-software-application-instance-pairings are received. There is a separate identifier for each of the user-to-software-application-instance-pairings. One of the log creation facilities is associated with each of the user-to-software-application-instance-pairings. Log files are created at corresponding ones of the log creation facilities in response to detecting errors during execution of the instances of the software applications. The log files are categorized based on error categories. A request for a post error analysis report is received. The request specifies one of the error categories. A subset of the log files is determined based on the specified error category specified in the request. The subset of the log files is displayed.

  • Patent number: 11016865
Abstract: Techniques are describe herein for associating storage management properties with a group of files of a database referred to herein as a “file group”. In this system, storage management properties are defined at the database-level. Thus, multiple databases can be stored across a single disk group, gaining the benefits of having multiple block access devices working in parallel, but each respective database may be associated with a respective file group in a one-to-one relationship, so that each database can have different storage management properties.

  • Patent number: 10963361
Abstract: User specified build jobs are received at a centralized system. Each of the build jobs includes the load jobs for applications to execute in the centralized system. Clients and servers are created on selected hardware hosts based on the build jobs. Each of the selected hardware hosts includes one of the clients and a subset of the servers. Each of the clients and each of the servers resides in a separate container of a plurality of containers. Each of the clients and each of the servers use mutually exclusive subsets of hardware resources provided by the containers and obtain non-emulated operating system assistance. Overlapping-in-time load tests are executed on the applications. Real time performance information is collected during the executing of the load tests of the applications. After completion of a subset of the load tests, a subset of the selected hardware hosts is made available for executing subsequent load tests by removing containers.

  • Patent number: 10789149
Abstract: Duplicate bug report detection using machine learning algorithms and automated feedback incorporation is disclosed. For each set of bug reports, a user-classification of the set of bug reports as including duplicate bug reports or non-duplicate bug reports is identified. Also for each set of bug reports, correlation values corresponding to a respective feature, of a plurality of features, between bug reports in the set of bug reports is identified. Based on the user-classifications and the correlation values, a model is generated to identify any set of bug reports as including duplicate bug reports or non-duplicate bug reports. The model is applied to classify a particular bug report and a candidate bug report as duplicate bug reports or non-duplicate bug reports.

  • Patent number: 10769022
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved system, method, and computer program product for generating backups in a database system. This is accomplished by using a disaster recovery infrastructure of a database system to generate the database backup, where the backup activities are performed on a standby database system, thereby freeing up the primary database system. To avoid authorization/authentication requirements between the primary and standby that may require human intervention to type passwords when backups are performed on the standby, a backup solution is provided that does not require human intervention to enter passwords when automating the backup process.

  • Publication number: 20200265023
Abstract: Techniques are provided for transitioning from a hierarchical file system to an object store. A request is received to change file metadata of a hierarchical file system. In response to the request: in-cache file metadata of the hierarchical file system is modified. The in-cache file metadata includes a directory structure of the hierarchical file system and file metadata of the hierarchical file system. Additionally, an in-store metadata journal entry is generated. The in-store metadata journal entry indicates an update to in-store file metadata. The in-store file metadata includes the directory structure of the hierarchical file system and file metadata of the hierarchical file system and is stored in an object store. The in-store metadata journal entry is stored in the object store. Furthermore, in-store file metadata and in-store metadata journal entry may be used to reconstruct the in-cache file metadata on another node.

  • Patent number: 10715534
Abstract: Examples relate to collaborative security lists. The examples disclosed herein enable obtaining a first candidate entry suggested by a first user of a community to be included in a collaborative security list. The collaborative security list may comprise a list of entries known to be secure or a list of entries known to be insecure. The examples disclosed herein further enable providing a candidate security list comprising at least the first candidate entry to the community and obtaining, from a second user of the community, a first score indicating how confident the second user is that the first candidate entry is secure. The examples disclosed herein further enable determining whether to include the first candidate entry in the collaborative security list based on the first score.

  • Patent number: 10698637
Abstract: A shared storage architecture persistently stores database files in non-volatile memories (NVMs) of a plurality of computing nodes of a multi-node DBMS. The computing nodes of the multi-node DBMS store data blocks in NVM and each computing node of the DBMS stores copies of each data block stored on the plurality of computing nodes. A computing node that disconnects and subsequently rejoins the DBMS employs an on-demand approach to resilvering stale data blocks that have been updated in other computing nodes in the DBMS while the computing node was offline. A data block may be resilvered on-demand based on an I/O request for a specific data block from a workload running on the reconnected computing node. Stale data blocks on the reconnected computing node are not resilvered unless they are accessed by the workload.

  • Patent number: 10577180
Abstract: Mobile modules including a number of bins or other storage units may be formed in a modular manner, from various sub-modules. The mobile modules may be loaded with items by a sortation system or by associates. A bin within a mobile module may be selected and assigned to an order for a plurality of items, and each of the items included in the order may be deposited into the selected bin. After a sufficient number of bins within the mobile module have been filled with ordered items, the mobile module may be loaded into or onto a delivery vehicle and transported to a location from which the ordered items may be delivered to a customer, e.g., by an autonomous mobile robot or by an associate.
