Abstract: Disclosed is a mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same. The mobile terminal includes a body having a wireless communication module, a display unit disposed on one surface of the body, displaying one or more icons thereon, and configured to have a touch input thereon, and a controller configured to compensate for a control command corresponding to a touch, based on at least one of a touch duration, a touch point and a change of the touch point, when the touch on the display unit is detected during a change of a position or a shape of the icon.
