  • Patent number: 11501026
Abstract: When performing data encryption at rest of data residing on Kubernetes persistent volume, existing methods rely on storage provider's encryption capabilities, which instill limitations that hinder deployment. Accordingly, systems and methods are described that receive a Pod specification comprising a disk encryption request and automatically annotate the specification to include specifications for the disk encryption (e.g., secret, key, etc.) to mount a persistent volume having a disk encrypted according to the generated specification.

  • Publication number: 20220282380
Abstract: A method comprises arranging an apparatus on a top surface of a pedestal in a processing chamber. The apparatus comprises an annular member, N supporting members, and N pins, where N is an integer greater than two. The N supporting members support the annular member in a plane parallel to and above the top surface of the pedestal. The N pins are arranged perpendicularly to the plane along a circumference around the annular member. Each of the N pins includes threads engageable with respective threaded slots in the apparatus. Each of the N pins includes a conical end pointing towards the top surface of the pedestal and engageable with a periphery of the top surface of the pedestal. The method further comprises aligning a center of the annular member to a center of the pedestal by adjusting one or more of the N pins.

  • Publication number: 20220239711
Abstract: Electronic conferences provide a means by which people who are not co-located may interact, such as to solve a problem. As described herein, an event (e.g., an email or automatically generated message reporting a fault or abnormal state) of a monitored system may provide an input into a conferencing system that, based on the event, automatically invites and configures resources required to resolve the cause of the event. Resources may be human resources automatically connected to the convergence via a communication device and/or software resources (e.g., tools, applications) necessary to investigate, resolve, and apply a resolution to the system.

  • Patent number: 9935836
Abstract: Network resource monitoring systems and methods are presented. In one embodiment, a network resource monitoring method comprises: gathering network resource pre-monitoring information, including information indicating whether a network resource is associated with a zone, and if associated with a zone also gathering information indicating zone type; performing a network resource monitoring process on the network resource based on results of the gathered network resource pre-monitoring information; including performing a network resource monitoring process when the network resource is in a local zone that does not otherwise make available or share information with a global zone; and analyzing the results of the network resource monitoring process. In one embodiment, if the network resource is included in an exclusive IP zone.

  • Patent number: 8291403
Abstract: A system and method for efficient upgrading of computing system software. A computing system includes clients and one or more servers coupled to a network. Cluster server software allows the clients and server(s) to work together as a cluster. This software is platform- and version-specific depending on the customer. Each customer has a customized configuration with customer-dependent edits performed on the original configuration. When a new-release configuration is made available, the three configurations are translated to abstract object trees. A series of predetermined abstract operations are preformed on the abstract object trees in order to generate a target abstract object tree. The target abstract object tree is translated to a target file, wherein the target file includes the common portions between the original and new-release configurations and the merged upgrades of the customized and new-release configurations.

  • Patent number: 6774497
Abstract: The invention provides a method for attaching a flip chip to an electrical substrate such as a printed wiring board. A bumped flip chip is provided, the flip chip including an active surface and a plurality of connective bumps extending from the active surface, each connective bump including a side region. A thin layer of an underfill material is applied to the active surface of the flip chip and to a portion of the side regions of the connective bumps. The flip chip is positioned on the electrical substrate, the electrical substrate including a thick layer of a solder mask disposed on the electrical substrate. The flip chip is heated to electrically connect the flip chip to the electrical substrate, wherein the underfill material and the solder mask combine to form a stress-relief layer when the flip chip is electrically connected to the electrical substrate.

  • Patent number: 6650022
Abstract: A bumped semiconductor device (10) exhibiting enhanced pattern recognition when illuminated in a machine vision system. The semiconductor device has a substantially coplanar array of solder bumps (16) and a coating of underfill material (17) on one face. A fluxing composition (18) containing an image enhancing agent is selectively deposited over at least two of the solder bumps in the array to modify the optical characteristics of the solder bumps to cause the solder bumps to appear bright against the background of the underfill material when the semiconductor device is illuminated (19) by selected wavelengths of light.
