The curing agent can comprise a natural fiber material that comprises cellulose. Alternatively, or in addition, the curing agent can comprise cellulose nanoparticles, such as cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs) or cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs). Also disclosed herein are methods of making the same.
