  • Publication number: 20230171590
Abstract: Aspects relate to a UE adapting the capability it advertises based on the network within which the UE is operating. In some examples, if a network currently supports a certain bandwidth, the UE may select the capabilities it will advertise based on that supported bandwidth. In some examples, a UE may acquire information regarding which configurations were considered by a network. In this case, the UE may select the capabilities it will advertise based on such configurations.

  • Publication number: 20120289181
Abstract: A follow-on request is used in the registration request of an eCall-only mode in-vehicle system (IVS) to keep the connection alive between the registration and the emergency call setup in order to speed up the overall signaling process before sending eCall data for the eCall-only mode IVS. In this manner, two separate connections are not needed in order to perform the registration of the IVS on the mobile network and then the emergency call setup. Only one connection is used and maintained throughout registration and call setup processes. This speeds up the eCall emergency registration and call setup. In an implementation, the registration request with the follow-on request is provided only when the eCall-only IVS is activated for use in an emergency call (i.e., in an initial registration of the eCall-only IVS).
