  • Patent number: 10913963
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlled hydrolysis. The method can comprise hydrolyzing a first reagent in a first hydrolysis reaction and deactivating a first enzyme catalyzing the first hydrolysis reaction. The deactivating step can occur in about 10 seconds or less; the deactivating step can comprise adding a deactivating fluid to a composition comprising the first enzyme and heating the first enzyme using a deactivating mechanism. In other aspects, hydrolyzing the first reagent and deactivating the first enzyme can occur in a conduit, and the first hydrolysis reaction can occur in a composition that is at least 50% water by weight. The apparatus can provide a hydrolysis reactor comprising: a conduit; a composition inlet in the conduit for a composition; a first enzyme inlet in the conduit downstream of the composition inlet; and a first deactivating mechanism downstream of the first enzyme inlet to deactivate the first enzyme.

  • Publication number: 20190163790
Abstract: A system and method for use with a data management service provides aggregated statistics derived from a large amount of user data extracted from one or more transaction management systems. The aggregated statistics are based on client queries from client systems. The queries request statistical information about a queried user grouping. An input interpreter module uses machine learning to modify the queried user grouping into a plurality of improved user groupings. A statistics calculator module performs a set of calculations on the user data based on the improved user groupings, and returns the results to an output preparer module. The output preparer module uses machine learning to determine which aggregated statistic to return to the client system.

  • Patent number: 9854003
Abstract: A system and method of establishing and controlling a telecommunications or multimedia communications sessions over a conventional call signaling protocol is employed to enable such a communications session to the initiated and managed between participants through translated resource identifiers. The method of establishing and controlling a telecommunications or multimedia communications sessions over a conventional call signaling protocol is employed in one embodiment through the provision of a database which includes resource records linked together by user which include an email address and corresponding URIs, the retrieval of a corresponding URI upon the generation of a session invitation which identifies its target recipient by email address, the transmitting of the session invitation to the retrieved URI, and notifying the target recipient by sending a message to the email address used to generate the session invitation.

  • Patent number: 7135283
Abstract: Novel polymorphisms of prokaryotic topoisomerase type II Gyr A, Gyr B and parC gene loci are provided. These polymorphisms differentiate very closely related organisms and provide a means to identify pathogenicity and drug resistance. For example, drug resistance such as resistance to methicillin, a drug which is not metabolically tied to topoisomerase function, may be determined by polymorphisms in the Gyrase A locus. Identification of such drug resistance by such unrelated loci is indicative of heretofore unrecognized [sub]species of Staphylococcus aureus.
