Publication number: 20240240361Abstract: Methods and systems include providing a modular frame having a plurality of frame sections that are connectable to each other at a joint area. A pin extends from the joint area of the modular frame. A polymer solution is dispensed through a syringe, and the pin passes by and contacts a droplet of the polymer solution as the modular frame rotates. Fibers are formed by using the pin to draw out the fibers from the droplets of the polymer solution. The fibers are deposited on the modular frame. In some cases, the plurality of frame sections of the modular frame are arranged on a base in a first arrangement. After the fibers are deposited, the plurality of frame sections are reconfigured into a second arrangement different from the first arrangement to form a fiber component of an air flow device.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 17, 2023Publication date: July 18, 2024Applicant: Carbon Reform Inc.Inventors: Joanne Norris, Nickolas Martin, Prashant Ramesh, Rakesh Ravi

Patent number: 10180139Abstract: A compressor may include a shell containing a motor, a compression mechanism and a lubricant sump. The compressor may also include first and second temperature sensors, and a control module. The first temperature sensor may be at least partially disposed within the lubricant sump and may measure a first temperature of a lubricant at a first position. The second temperature sensor may be at least partially disposed within the lubricant sump and may measure a second temperature of the lubricant at a second position that is vertically higher than the first position. The control module is in communication with the first and second temperature sensors. The control module may determine a first difference between the first temperature and the second temperature. The control module may determine whether a liquid level of the lubricant in the lubricant sump is below a predetermined level based on the first difference.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2016Date of Patent: January 15, 2019Assignee: Emerson Climate Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Troy Richard Brostrom, Pavankumar Pralhad Jorwekar, Prashant Ramesh Jagdale, Vinayak Madanrao Juge, Pankaj Ahire

Publication number: 20170288081Abstract: A photovoltaic module has a flexible backing substrate, a plurality of photovoltaic cells, and an electrical conduit. The photovoltaic cells are mounted on the backing substrate. Each photovoltaic cell has a metallic article, the metallic article including a plurality of electroformed elements comprising a cell interconnection element integral with a continuous grid having a plurality of first elements intersecting a plurality of second elements. The electroformed elements are interconnected and integral, with the continuous grid in contact with the light-incident surface of the photovoltaic cell. The cell interconnection element extends beyond the light-incident surface and couples the continuous grid to a neighboring photovoltaic cell. The electrical conduit has a flexible strip of electrically conductive material.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 22, 2017Publication date: October 5, 2017Applicant: Merlin Solar Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Steve Babayan, Robert Brainard, Arvind Chari, Alejandro de la Fuente Vornbrock, Venkatesan Murali, Gopal Prabhu, Arthur Rudin, Venkateswaran Subbaraman, David Tanner, Dong Xu, Prashant Ramesh, Vishal Chandrashekar
