The method includes a first step of moving the device using a first gesture to invoke a menu mode on the display, where the menu mode shows selectable menu items and a graphic pointer for selecting menu items. A next step includes moving the device using a second gesture to move the graphic pointer over a selected menu item. A next step includes waiting a predetermined amount of time to confirm the selected menu item. A next step includes performing a preprogrammed function associated with the selected menu item.
