  • Publication number: 20220307357
Abstract: System and methods for tuning equation of state (EOS) characterizations are presented. Pressure-volume-temperature (PVT) data is obtained for downhole fluids within a reservoir formation. A component grouping for an EOS model of the downhole fluids is determined, based on the obtained PVT data. The component grouping is used to estimate properties of the downhole fluids for a current stage of a downhole operation within the formation. A machine learning model is trained to minimize an error between the estimated properties and actual fluid properties measured during the current stage of the operation, where the component grouping for the EOS model is iteratively adjusted by the machine learning model until the error is minimized. The EOS model is tuned using the adjusted component grouping. Fluid properties are estimated for one or more subsequent stages of the downhole operation to be performed along the wellbore, based on the tuned EOS model.

  • Publication number: 20220300489
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system and techniques for preventing corruption of snapshot data by limiting the visibility of committed data. To do this, the system may maintain an index that indicates the highest transaction identifier value such that no future commits will have a transaction identifier less than or equal to the indexed transaction identifier value. In embodiments, if a read is performed, only transactions having a transaction identifier less than or equal to the index value can be read. Each time that a transaction is committed, the index value is updated to the transaction identifier for the transaction having the highest transaction identifier without any intermediary transactions.

  • Patent number: 11442933
Abstract: An approach for implementing function semantic based partition-wise SQL execution and partition pruning in a data processing system is provided. The system receives a query directed to a range-partitioned table and determines if operation key(s) of the query include(s) function(s) over the table partitioning key(s). If so, the system obtains a set of values corresponding to each partition by evaluating the function(s) on a low bound and/or a high bound table partitioning key value corresponding to the partition. The system may then compare the sets of values corresponding to different partitions and determine whether to aggregate results obtained by executing the query over the partitions based on the comparison. The system may also determine whether to prune any partitions from processing based on a set of correlations between the set of values for each partition and predicate(s) of the query including function(s) over the table partitioning key(s).

  • Patent number: 11429890
Abstract: Systems for dynamically performing pattern recognition and data reconciliation functions are provided. In some examples, a system may receive data, from one or more computing systems. In some examples, one or more machine learning datasets may be used to identify datasets, data elements, or the like, for comparison. The identified datasets, data elements, and the like, may be compared to pre-stored patterns to determine whether the pattern matches a pre-stored pattern. If not, the pattern may be flagged as a new pattern and instructions for further processing may be requested. In some arrangements, the identified datasets, data elements, or the like, may be compared to determine whether a pattern and/or value of the datasets, data elements, or the like, matches. If not, one or more machine learning datasets may be used to generate a corrective action to align the data. In some examples, the generated corrective action may be automatically executed to align the data.

  • Publication number: 20220267024
Abstract: Examples provide a method and system for quantitatively measuring air turbulence. A turbulence measuring application on each user device in a plurality of user devices associated with a plurality of users at a plurality of different locations within an aircraft generates vibration data and positional data associated with turbulence detected at each user's location. The data is analyzed to eliminate noise due to user movements and other non-turbulence related events. An aircraft server aggregates the vibration data and the positional data generated by the user devices scattered throughout the aircraft. The aggregated data is analyzed to eliminate noise due to non-turbulence related events to create quantitative air turbulence data. The quantitative air turbulence data generated by one or more aircraft is used with weather and other related data to generate more accurate and precise turbulence predictions for aircraft.

  • Publication number: 20220267153
Abstract: Methods that expand the properties of laser-induced graphene (LIG) and the resulting LIG having the expanded properties. Methods of fabricating laser-induced graphene from materials, which range from natural, renewable precursors (such as cloth or paper) to high performance polymers (like Kevlar). With multiple lasing, however, highly conductive PEI-based LIG could be obtained using both multiple pass and defocus methods. The resulting laser-induced graphene can be used, inter alia, in electronic devices, as antifouling surfaces, in water treatment technology, in membranes, and in electronics on paper and food Such methods include fabrication of LIG in controlled atmospheres, such that, for example, superhydrophobic and superhydrophilic LIG surfaces can be obtained. Such methods further include fabricating laser-induced graphene by multiple lasing of carbon precursors. Such methods further include direct 3D printing of graphene materials from carbon precurors.

  • Patent number: 11422898
Abstract: A storage tier manager efficiently creates different representations of a dataset backup for different retention periods. Each of the representations of the dataset backup is distinctly identifiable despite initially representing a same dataset backup. The representations are structured metadata corresponding to the dataset backup. One representation is a cached backup version of the dataset backup (“cached backup” or “cached representation”) provided for low latency access while residing at a storage tier of the backup appliance for a relatively short retention period according to a lifecycle management policy. The other representation is a cloud backup version of the dataset backup (“cloud backup” or “cloud representation”) provided for persisting into cloud storage for a longer retention period according to the lifecycle management policy.

  • Patent number: 11397929
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system for executing, securing, and non-repudiation of pooled conditional smart contracts over a distributed blockchain network. In particular, the system may receive an instrument request from a beneficiary entity, where the instrument request includes an instrument amount. The system can then identify a lead contribution amount that a lead entity is willing to provide to meet a portion of the instrument amount. A set of supporting entities can be identified as willing to provide supporting contribution amounts to meet the remainder of the instrument amount. A conditional contract can be sent to each supporting entity that, when signed, authorizes the system to transfer contribution amounts, which may be in the form of cryptocurrency, from blockchain addresses of the lead and supporting entities to a blockchain address of the beneficiary entity. Once the instrument amount has been secured, the system executes the transactions.
