Abstract: A method of connecting a software-defined data center (SDDC) to a cloud platform to enable the cloud platform to deliver cloud services to the SDDC includes the steps of: deploying an agent platform appliance that is connected to a management network of the SDDC; and deploying a plurality of agents on the agent platform appliance, wherein the agents include a first agent that is configured to issue a command to a component of the SDDC to perform an operation requested by a cloud service of the cloud platform and a second agent that is configured to acquire an authentication token for authenticating to the component of the SDDC, and wherein the second agent acquires the authentication token from the component of the SDDC, and the first agent acquires the authentication token from the second agent and transmits the command and the authentication token to the component of the SDDC.

Abstract: A system, process, and computer-readable medium for updating an application cache using a stream listening service is described. A stream listening service may monitor one or more data streams for content relating to a user. The stream listening service may forward the content along with time-to-live values to an application cache. A user may use an application to obtain information regarding the user's account, where the application obtains information from a data store and/or cached information from the application cache. The stream listening service, by forwarding current account information, obtained from listening to one or more streams, to the application cache, reduces traffic at the data store by providing current information from the data stream to the application cache.

Abstract: A computing system identifies a heterogenous multi-entity graph user graph for a user based upon an identifier for the user. The user graph includes nodes and edges connecting the nodes. The nodes include topic nodes representing topics and entity nodes. The entity nodes represent people associated with the user, documents of the user, or derived information that is derived from the documents. The computing system identifies a cluster of the topic nodes corresponding to a productivity area of the user and performs a walk of the user graph based upon the subset of the topic nodes to identify a subset of the people, the documents, and the derived information. The computing system causes a graphical user interface (GUI) to be presented on a display, where the GUI includes identifiers for the subset of the people, the documents, and the derived information.

Abstract: An example method of alerting and remediation in a multi-cloud computing system having a public cloud in communication with a data center includes: receiving, at remediation and troubleshooting software executing in the public cloud, event and log information generated by endpoint software executing in the data center during operation thereof; generating, at the remediation and troubleshooting software, an incident in response to the event and log information; sending, by a remediation and troubleshooting service (RTS) of the remediation and troubleshooting software in response to the incident, a remediation task to a coordinator agent over a message fabric, the coordinator agent executing in an agent platform appliance of the data center; and executing, by the coordinator agent, remediation of the endpoint software according to the remediation task.

Abstract: A method of registering and deploying an agent platform appliance in a hybrid environment includes the steps of: transmitting a first code to a cloud platform to create an authentication account for the agent platform appliance, wherein credentials for accessing the authentication account include the first code; transmitting a request for an access token that permits downloading images of agents from an agent repository of the cloud platform, wherein the request for the access token includes the first code for accessing the created authentication account; upon receiving the access token, transmitting a request to the agent repository, to download the images of the agents, wherein the request to download the images of the agents includes the received access token; and upon receiving the images of the agents from the agent repository, installing the agents on the agent platform appliance using the received images of the agents.

Abstract: A catheter tip shaping system includes a catheter, and a tip shaping tool. The tip shaping tool includes a body having a first end and a second end, a first pin, a second pin, and a third pin, wherein the first, second, and third pins are positioned at the first end of the body and extend from a first face of the body. A distal end region of the catheter may be configured to be positioned between a gap between the first, second, and third pins such that the tip shaping tool can be manipulated by a user to invoke a curvature in the distal end region of the catheter.

Rewards may be earned for negotiating and paying off a collections account or assisting others in these actions. Businesses, creditors, and agencies may be able to electronically communicate amongst themselves and with consumers, potentially reducing postal and telephone expenses.

Abstract: A cloud service for managing an agent platform appliance is configured to issue commands to an agent platform management agent deployed on the agent platform appliance to upgrade the agent platform appliance to a desired version. Upon receipt of this command, the agent platform management agent carries out a method of updating the agent platform appliance, which includes: determining that a current version of the agent platform appliance does not match the desired version, determining connectivity to a repository that stores bits for updating the agent platform appliance to the desired version, requesting a first agent to perform a first pre-update check and a second agent to perform a second pre-update check, and after the first pre-update check and the second pre-update check have passed, requesting an appliance management service running on the agent platform appliance to perform an update of the agent platform appliance to the desired version.

Abstract: A method of exchanging messages between a software-defined data center (SDDC) and a cloud platform through a plurality of agents deployed on an agent platform appliance that is connected to a management network of the SDDC, to enable the cloud platform to deliver cloud services to the SDDC, includes the steps of: acquiring an access token from a first agent of the plurality of agents; communicating with a message broker cloud service using the access token to exchange messages with the message broker cloud service, the exchanged messages including a first message from one of the cloud services to one or more of the plurality of agents and a second message from a second agent of the plurality of agents to one of the cloud services; and delivering the first message to the one or more agents.

Abstract: A method of controlling access to components of an SDDC in a hybrid environment, the hybrid environment including a cloud platform from which cloud services are delivered to the SDDC through agents deployed on an agent platform appliance, includes the steps of: transmitting to a first component of the SDDC, a request to create a first account for accessing the first component of the SDDC by a first agent, which is one of the agents deployed on the agent platform appliance; in response to the first agent requesting access to the first component of the SDDC, transmitting to the first component of the SDDC, credentials associated with the first account and a request for a first authentication token that authorizes the access to the first component of the SDDC; and upon receiving the first authentication token from the first component of the SDDC, transmitting the first authentication token to the first agent.

Abstract: A process mining system performs process mining using visual logs generated from video streams of worker devices. Specifically, for a given worker device, the process mining system obtains a series of images capturing a screen of a worker device while the worker device processes one or more tasks related to an operation process. The process mining system determines activity labels for a plurality of images. An activity label for an image may indicate an activity performed on the worker device when the image was captured. The activity label is determined by extracting information from pixels of the image and inferring the activity of the worker device from the extracted information. The process mining system generates event logs from the visual logs of worker devices and uses the event logs for process mining.
