  • Publication number: 20230413126
Abstract: The present invention provides UE mobility context creation at RIC/ORAN in 4G and 5G systems. It does this by determining a User Equipment (UE) UE is moving seamlessly from across CUs in connected mode using S1/X2/N2/Xn Handovers; downloading, by a non RT RIC, a policy to connected CUs that whenever a UE latches with initial UE message, CU sends an Identity Request to get the UEs SUPI; determining whenever the UE attaches to the CU/DU with the initial UE message, the SUPI is learnt and sent back to the Non RT RIC, along with the SUPI CU/DU and sends CRNTI, STMSI, cell information as per the use cases; allocating, by the Non RT RIC, a fresh UE ID and creating a context with parameters including Current Location, UE ID allotted by RIC, Current CRNTI, and cell information; sending, by the Non RT RIC, the fresh UE ID to the CU that the CU maintains as part of the UE context information.

  • Patent number: 11777336
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing AC power to a power grid using renewable energy sources as well as energy storage devices. A control system controls multiple DC/DC converters that are coupled to renewable energy sources as well as to one or more energy storage devices. The control system also controls the charge/discharge of the energy storage devices. Each DC/DC converter control block in the control system automatically detects whether to perform MPPT on the renewable energy source or to control the discharge of the energy storage devices. Each DC/DC converter control block ensures that power from the renewable energy source or from the energy storage device is converted and provided to the power grid.

  • Publication number: 20230300105
Abstract: According to one or more embodiments of this disclosure, a network controller in a data center network establishes a translation table for in-band traffic in a data center network, the translation table resolves ambiguous network addresses based on one or more of a virtual network identifier (VNID), a routable tenant address, or a unique loopback address. The network controller device receives packets originating from applications and/or an endpoints operating in a network segment associated with a VNID. The network controller device translates, using the translation table, unique loopback addresses and/or routable tenant addresses associated with the packets into routable tenant addresses and/or unique loopback addresses, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20230246476
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling a plurality of DC/DC converters that are coupled to either a renewable energy source or an energy storage device. The system automatically detects the energy source coupled to the relevant DC/DC converter and operates accordingly. If the DC/DC converter is coupled to a renewable energy source (such as a PV panel), the system maximizes power extraction from the energy source. If the DC/DC converter is coupled to an energy storage device, the system performs charge/discharge functions for the attached energy storage device.

  • Patent number: 11621666
Abstract: Systems and methods for use with renewable energy resources that provide power to an energy power grid or to one or more motor loads. A control system along with an energy storage/combiner block and a DC/AC inverter is used to condition DC power received from renewable energy sources. The control system receives current and voltage outputs from the inverter along with values indicating current and voltage outputs directly from the renewable energy sources. These are then used to estimate and control motor speed when the system is in the off-grid mode. In addition, the control system uses these inputs to provide the gate pulses that are used to control the three phase AC output power from the inverter.

  • Publication number: 20230032942
Abstract: A DC-DC power converter employs a full bridge series resonant converter topology with a resonant tank and two transformers, one before and one after the resonant tank, to obtain a high voltage (e.g., approximately 300V, approximately 1500V or greater) output from a relatively low voltage (e.g., approximately 9V-16V) input, for instance an input from one or more battery cells. DC-DC power converter is operable to output high voltage (e.g., around 300V, 1500V or higher) short duration pulses (e.g., tens of nanoseconds or less). A burst mode control technique provides as good regulation characteristics at light loads. Instead of turning OFF the active switches during an OFF period, the switches are operated at a different frequency (e.g., higher frequency) during the OFF period than a frequency at which the switches are turned ON during the ON period. Auxiliary loads can also be supplied.

  • Patent number: 10951039
Abstract: Systems and methods relating to power inverters for power generation systems. A power inverter suitable for renewable power sources is configured with a data processing module that receives power related data from a power grid and from a battery backup inverter. The data processing module calculates mode of operation data based on the power related data and, if the mode of operation data exceeds a threshold, then the power generation system is operating in an off-grid mode (i.e. the system is decoupled from the power grid). If the mode of operation data is equal or less than the threshold, then the power generation system is operating in an on-grid operating mode. The system is also self-tuning with respect to the threshold value.

  • Patent number: 10581744
Abstract: Presented herein are traffic pruning techniques that define the pruning at the group level. A software defined network (SDN) controller determines first and second endpoint groups (EPGs) of an SDN associated with the SDN controller. The SDN runs on a plurality of networking devices that interconnect a plurality of endpoints that are each attached to one or more host devices. The SDN controller determines a host-EPG mapping for the SDN, as well as a networking device-host mapping for the SDN. The SDN controller then uses the host-EPG mapping, the networking device-host mapping, and one or more group-based policies associated with traffic sent from the first EPG to the second EPG to compute hardware pruning policies defining how to prune multi-destination traffic sent from the first EPG to the second EPG. The hardware pruning policies are then installed in one or more of the networking devices or the host devices.

  • Patent number: 10530712
Abstract: Techniques for providing a reflexive access control list (ACL) on a virtual switch are provided. Embodiments receive a first packet corresponding to a first network flow and a second packet corresponding to a second network flow. Upon determining that a SYN flag is set within the first packet, a first entry is created in the reflexive ACL for the first network flow. Upon determining that the first packet was received over a client port of the first physical switch, the first packet is forwarded to a second physical switch within virtual switch. Upon determining that the second packet has a SYN flag enabled, a second entry is created in the reflexive ACL. Finally, upon determining that the second packet was received from the second physical switch, the second packet is forwarded over an uplink port to a destination defined by the second packet.
