  • Patent number: 10873185
Abstract: A subsea electric power distribution installation including: one or more MV switching apparatuses electrically connected with an electric power source an one or more electric loads, the switching apparatuses being adapted to switch a MV electric power supply to the electric loads; electronic equipment operatively associated with the switching apparatuses for managing the operation of the switching apparatuses, the electronic equipment being configured to receive a LV electric power supply. The subsea electric power distribution installation includes a centralized energy storage unit including one or more storing devices for storing electric energy to feed the electronic equipment, wherein the centralized energy storage unit is adapted to receive electric power from the electric power source to charge the storing devices, wherein the centralized energy storage unit is adapted to provide an electric power supply to the the electronic equipment by absorbing electric power from the storing devices.

  • Patent number: 10643814
Abstract: A medium voltage circuit breaker in a high pressure subsea environment includes: a vacuum circuit breaker; and a drive in a pressure tight housing. For an electrical three-phase arrangement, one vacuum circuit breaker per phase is arranged in a separate pole housing each, and the resulting three pole housings are mounted to a common base compartment, in which three drives for the three vacuum circuit breakers are arranged. The three pole housings and the common base compartment are attached such that they commonly form a pressure tight compartment.

  • Publication number: 20180108504
Abstract: In an embodiment, the present invention provides a medium voltage circuit breaker in high pressure subsea environment, including: a vacuum circuit breaker; and a drive in a pressure tight housing. For an electrical three-phase arrangement, one vacuum circuit breaker per phase is in arranged in a separate pole housing each, and the resulting three pole housings are mounted to a common base compartment, in which all the three drives for the three vacuum circuit breaker are arranged. The three pole housings and the common base compartment are attached such that they form commonly a pressure tight compartment.

  • Publication number: 20160240338
Abstract: A vacuum circuit breaker for the use in high pressure environments, has at least one vacuum interrupter with at least one moving contact and at least one fixed contact inside the vacuum interrupter, and external contact points at the vacuum interrupter. The vacuum circuit breaker can be used under the high-pressure environmental conditions through the use of at least one vacuum interrupter arranged in a pressure tight container, wherein the electrical contacting is realized via a high voltage bushings through the container wall, and the pressure tight container is at least partially filled with insulating oil.
