  • Patent number: 9357539
Abstract: Apparatus, methods, computer program products, systems and circuits are provided that allow for persistent uplink and downlink resource allocations. A method includes: allocating resources to a user equipment for a data flow over a plurality of time intervals with a single signaling event at a wireless network radio network layer; and informing the user equipment of the allocated resources.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 8331230
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and computer program products are provided. A method includes: providing at least one logical channel flow, wherein each logical channel flow of the at least one logical channel flow has an associated traffic priority; grouping the at least one logical channel flow by the associated traffic priority to form at least one group; determining an aggregate data flow for at least one group; comparing the determined aggregate data flow with at least one threshold value to obtain an indication value; and transmitting the indication value from a user equipment to a base station.

  • Patent number: 7843801
Abstract: An apparatus, such as a user equipment, includes a resource unit RU measurement unit coupled to an output of a wireless receiver; an encoder configurable to encode information descriptive of M perceived best ones of N RUs, where each individual RU is assigned a unique number from a set {1,2, . . . ,N}, where there are sets: SM={n=(nm)m=1M:1?n1<n2<. . . <nM?N}, ={l, 2, ?,|SM|}, where each vector in set SM refers to a unique RU combination and where there are ? S M ? = ( N M ) elements in the set SM; and a wireless transmitter configurable to transmit the encoded information to a wireless network apparatus, such as a base station. The base station includes a decoder operable to decode the encoded information.

  • Publication number: 20080192720
Abstract: An apparatus includes a channel estimator configurable to apply a first channel estimation algorithm to a resource mapping using known reference resources to obtain initial channel estimates; a decoder configurable to decode, based on the obtained initial channel estimates, a plurality of control channels to determine which of the plurality of decoded control channels comprise at least one preferred control channel; and an encoder configurable to re-encode the at least one preferred control channel to obtain at least one new reference resource. The channel estimator is further configurable to apply a second channel estimation algorithm to the resource mapping using the known reference resources and the at least one new reference resource to obtain revised channel estimates.
