  • Publication number: 20190166821
Abstract: A trap for exterminating pests, preferably rats in sewers, said trap comprising: a trap housing and a bait mechanism. The trap also has a trigger mechanism capable of detecting the presence of a rat and releasing a killer mechanism when the rat is within the total range of the killer mechanism; and a trapper mechanism capable of detaining an animal. The trap may also convey a killed animal from a first position, in which discharge of the killed animal will not entail that it is conveyed away by water running through the sewer, to a second position, in which discharge of the killed rat will entail that it is conveyed away by water running through the sewer.

  • Publication number: 20160302402
Abstract: The invention relates to a trap for animals, in particular rats or mice, and for being arranged on a substantially horizontal face, where this meets a substantially vertical face. The trap comprises: a trap housing and a first flange and a second flange that are connected substantially at right angles to the effect that the trap can be arranged in two positions, where the substantially horizontal face meets the substantially vertical face. The flanges and the faces of the trap span, in both positions, a volume which is delimited such as to define a passage in which a rat or a mouse may move. The trap housing further comprises an inner passageway that a rat or a mouse may run into, said passageway extending from the one flange and into the trap housing. Inside the passageway there is a trigger mechanism and a killer mechanism.

  • Patent number: 9351483
Abstract: A rat trap (1) comprising a power supply (80) and means (3) for killing a rat and a first sensor adapted to detect the presence of a rat in the space within the reach of the killing means and where control means are arranged capable of receiving a signal from the first sensor, and being adapted for activating the killing means (3) to kill the rat when the presence of the rat is detected by the sensor according to the invention the trap further comprise a second sensor (85) for detecting light, and the control means is capable of receiving a signal from the second sensor (85) and being adapted for deactivating the killing means (3) or the first sensor for a period of time after the detection of light by the second sensor. Hereby it is possible to prevent accidents due to e.g. erroneous activation of the trap in case of ordinary localized work illumination, including e.g. also in daylight at ground level or in artificial work illumination at the bottom of a shaft.

  • Publication number: 20100170074
Abstract: A method and a console for the installation of powered equipment (1) in front of a sewer pipe opening (41) in a sewer shaft (50), the method comprising the steps of, selecting resilient tubular member (40) comprising a console adapted for mounting the powered equipment, the resilient tubular member having, in its unstressed state, an outer radius which slightly exceeds the inner radius of the sewer pipe opening, mounting. the powered equipment on the console positioning the resilient tubular member in front of the sewer pipe opening and compressing the resilient tubular member to obtain an outer radius being smaller than the inner radius of the sewer pipe opening, Inserting into the sewer pipe at least a part of the resilient tubular member, so that the console with the powered equipment extends inside the sewer shaft, releasing the compression of the resilient tubular member (40), so that it expands to engage with the inside of the sewer pipe opening (41).

  • Publication number: 20080092431
Abstract: A rat trap which comprises: a plate with a first side and a second side and with a number of through-going openings from the first to the second side. The trap has a number of spikes secured to an anchoring plate which is arranged on the top face of said plate and wherein each spike is adapted to the individual openings in the plate to the effect that a spike is able to slide through the plate from the first side of the plate to the second side of the plate. Moreover, the plate has an infrared sensor which is adapted to detect the presence of a rat within the reach of the spikes. The trap is able to eject one or more of these spikes through the openings when the presence of a rat is detected by the infrared sensor. The rat trap further comprises a withdrawal mechanism which, following a given period of time, withdraws the spikes through the openings in the plate whereby the rat spiked by one or more spikes is released.
