  • Publication number: 20160310734
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a handheld medical device comprising a pen-like exterior casing accommodating: an electrical impulse generator, a holder for an electrical power source, such as a battery, for powering the impulse generator, one or more electrodes incorporated in a proximal end of the casing, a proximal end of said electrode(s) suitable for skin contact and extending from the proximal end of the casing, and a user activated actuator, the device configured such that one or more high-voltage low-current electrical impulses, generated by the impulse generator, is/are transmitted to the electrode(s) upon user activation of the actuator, the device further comprising one or more electrical contact receptacles.

  • Patent number: 6975908
Abstract: In a handheld piezoelectric acupuncture stimulator with a pen-like, substantially electrically insulating exterior casing (1), at one end of which an actuator button (5) is mounted, while the other end is provided with a contact pin (9), which is connected with a first electrode of a piezoelectric converter, which by means of a spring-loaded impact hammer actuated by the actuator button (5) may be mechanically operated for generation of a high voltage electric pain relieving pulse with a low energy content, the piezoelectric converter with associated electrodes and said impact hammer with associated spring system are mounted in a common electrically insulating interior casing (8) designed for form-fit mounting in the exterior casing (1), whereby the electric connection between the second electrode of the piezoelectric converter and a contact ring (7) on the exterior casing comprises a leaf spring contact (10), which projects through the interior casing (8) and extends between said interior casing and the exte

  • Patent number: 5123550
Abstract: In a collapsible lightweight framework for display use and of the type composed of square modules disposed in side-by-side and/or superposed relationship and consisting of articulated rods, whose ends are pivotally connected with corner joints (5 to 12) provided with a substantially plane front plate (15) with parallel edge portions (28, 29) for engagement with longitudinal parallel guideways (35, 36) in a releasable rail member (14).The rail member (14) allowing for the suspension of shelves, trays and the like, may thus be designed with an improved stiffening effect and simultaneously for easily releasable securing to the corner joints.

  • Patent number: 4663899
Abstract: A collapsible lightweight exhibit panel is composed of mainly square units of pivotally connected rods, each unit being formed as a box-like frame having two opposed mainly parallel and flat vertical unit surfaces for the arrangement of posters, and horizontal and vertical side faces (1-4) defined by two rods (1a, 1b . . . 4a, 4b) pivotally connected in a scissor-like manner, the ends of said rods being pivotally connected with corner joints (5-8, 9-12) located at the unit surfaces. A central joint (13) in the unit is connected with four corner joints (9-12) at one unit face through diagonally extending rods (14-17), which are pivotally connected with diagonal rods (22-25) to the corner joints (5-8) at the opposite unit face. Corner joints at one unit face are connected in a similar way with central joints in one or more adjacent units and a releasable locking device (27) is provided between the one pair of opposed corner joints (8, 12) to form a connection in the erected condition of the panel.
