Abstract: An apparatus for simulating a casting or molding process, said apparatus comprising means for providing a computer model (322) of at least one component (335), means for displaying said computer model (322), means for receiving an input indicating a component (324, 326, 328, 335) and in response thereto update said component, means for displaying at least one process step object (378) for the process, said process step object being associated with a process parameter, means for receiving an input indicating a process step object (378) and in response thereto update said parameter and means for performing a simulation of said process on the at least one component (335), simulating each process step according the process step object's (378) associated parameters and an event time. Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for casting ferrous or heavy metal articles in vertically parted sand moulds of a mould string plant through an inlet below or aside the mould cavity, by filling the moulds with molten metal by counter-gravity delivery using a source of pressure. The pressure is varied during the filling procedure to steer the flow speed and impact on the mould of the molten metal upon complete filling of the mould cavity is reduced.

Abstract: A system and method for assessing quality of life and its development by systematically evaluating a set of selected parameters and displaying the evaluation results over time. The method and the system help to assess a success factor calculated from the evaluated parameters. The parameters may be self-defined or chosen from predefined templates. The user may be automatically requested to evaluate the selected set of parameters at certain intervals.

Abstract: Crushed and graded magnetite ore is mixed with clay to form foundry moulds and cores. These moulds or cores are useful when casting non-ferrous metals or alloys, especially light metals and light-metal alloys.
