  • Publication number: 20110133002
Abstract: The invention relates to an injection valve member for a fuel injector, which injection valve member is of multi-part design and which has different functional regions. • Patent number: 7051958
Abstract: A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, having a housing in which an outer valve needle and an inner valve needle guided in it are disposed in a bore. The outer valve needle controls an outer row of injection openings, and the inner valve needle controls an inner row of injection openings, to which rows of injection openings fuel is delivered at an injection pressure through a high-pressure conduit embodied in the housing. A control pressure chamber in the housing can be made to communicate with the high-pressure conduit, and by means of its pressure, a closing force is exerted at least indirectly on the inner valve needle. The high-pressure conduit communicates with a control chamber, by whose pressure a closing force is exerted at least indirectly on the outer valve needle, and the control chamber communicates with the control pressure chamber. A control valve is disposed in a housing, and by means of the control valve, the control chamber can be made to communicate with a leak fuel chamber.

  • Patent number: 7044406
Abstract: Disclosed is a fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines having a valve body in which a hollow valve needle is disposed longitudinally displaceably in a bore. The hollow valve needle, on its end toward the combustion chamber, has a conical valve sealing face, which cooperates with a conical valve seat disposed on the end of the bore toward the combustion chamber. A longitudinal bore is embodied in the hollow valve needle, and a valve needle is disposed in it and, with a valve contact face embodied on its end toward the combustion chamber, likewise cooperates with the valve seat. The tip of the hollow valve needle toward the combustion chamber is formed by a chamfer.

  • Patent number: 7021567
Abstract: A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, having a housing with a bore inside it that contains a longitudinally sliding outer valve needle which in turn contains a longitudinally sliding inner valve needle and the end of each valve needle oriented toward the combustion chamber controls at least one injection opening. The pressure in a control pressure chamber at least indirectly exerts a closing force on the outer valve needle and the pressure in a control pressure chamber at least indirectly exerts a closing force on the inner valve needle. The housing contains a control valve that has a valve chamber and a valve element contained in it, wherein the valve chamber has a connection to the leakage oil chamber a continuously open connection to the control chamber and a connection to the control pressure chamber.

  • Publication number: 20040129804
Abstract: A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, having a housing (1) in which an outer valve needle (20) and an inner valve needle (22) guided in it are disposed in a bore (16). The outer valve needle (20), by a longitudinal motion, controls an outer row (130) of injection openings, and the inner valve needle (22), likewise by means of a longitudinal motion, controls an inner row (230) of injection openings, to which rows (130; 230) of injection openings fuel is delivered at an injection pressure through a high-pressure conduit (10) embodied in the housing (1). A control pressure chamber (52) is embodied in the housing (1); it can be made to communicate with the high-pressure conduit (10), and by means of its pressure, a closing force is exerted at least indirectly on the inner valve needle (22).

  • Publication number: 20040124275
Abstract: A fuel injection system having a housing (2), in which a pump piston (16) is disposed longitudinally movably, which piston positively displaces fuel from a pump work chamber (18) and delivers it to a pressure chamber (14). In a bore (42), an outer valve needle (44) is disposed longitudinally displaceably and cooperates with a valve seat, embodied on the end toward the combustion chamber of the bore (42), to control the opening of an outer row (70) of injection openings. The outer valve needle (44) experiences an opening force oriented away from the valve seat (48), as a result of the pressure in the pressure chamber (41), and a closing force, as a result of the force of an outer closing spring (52) disposed in an outer spring chamber (54). In the outer valve needle (44), an inner valve needle (46) is guided longitudinally displaceably, which likewise cooperates with the valve seat (48) to control an inner row (72) of injection openings.
