Abstract: A wireless handset that senses motion and converts the sensed motion into an audio signal is described. The wireless handset includes a processor, an accelerometer operatively coupled to the processor, and a speaker operatively coupled to the processor. As the device is moved, the accelerometer produces a signal representing the movement of the device. The processor converts the accelerometer signal into an audio signal. The audio signal is emitted by the speaker. Thus, as a user moves the wireless handset through space, the user can hear the audio signal, and becomes aware of the correlation between the motion of the wireless handset and the sounds emitted from the speaker.
