  • Publication number: 20150341811
Abstract: Methods and systems for performing a round trip time determination between two devices are described. An example method may include publishing, over a wireless network interface by a first device within a neighbor aware network (NAN) cluster, a schedule that invites devices within the NAN cluster to request, within a time window, to perform a round trip time (RTT) determination with the first device. The schedule may indicate that the time window begins at a time offset from a NAN discovery window and ends after a predetermined period of time has elapsed. The method may also include receiving a request, from a second device within the NAN cluster, to perform the RTT determination with the first device. The method may also include performing the RTT determination with the second device.

  • Patent number: 9176591
Abstract: The present invention provides a Data Entry Device for computers and other devices. An embodiment of the present invention provides a Data Entry Device combining a keyboard and pointing device for computers and other devices; The Data Entry Device of the present invention introduces a completely new ergonomic construction for all keys. In the Data Entry Device of the present invention the keyboard and pointing device can both be used without shifting the hands from its initial resting position and where the shift key has to be used only for capitals and a few rarely used punctuations and symbols. The vowels are all on one side thus making them easy to access and use. All the letters are arranged so that on maximum occasions the letters are alternating between hands. The character keys are separated into alphabets, numerals, mathematical operators, punctuations and symbols.

  • Publication number: 20150033833
Abstract: A method of determining solid particle surface energy includes placing solid particles in a container made of a very high surface energy material and pouring a liquid into the container. The method further includes tilting the container to drain out from the container a first subset of the solid particles floating at a top surface of the liquid and tilting the container to move the liquid away from a second subset of the solid particles that are below the top surface. The method also includes tilting the container to move the liquid back toward the second subset of the solid particles such that at least a portion of the second subset of particles floats at the top surface of the liquid and tilting the container to drain out from the container the portion of the second subset of the solid particles now floating at the top surface of the liquid.

Abstract: A cutting insert for machining a workpiece includes a top surface; a bottom surface. A plurality of peripheral side surfaces extend between the top and bottom surfaces. Each side surface includes an arcuate-shaped surface and a substantially planar surface. Each substantially planar surface is formed with a true angle with respect to a plane perpendicular to the top and bottom surfaces that results in a relatively smaller resultant angle when mounted in a slotting cutter to produce a true 90 degree wall on a workpiece during a slotting cutting operation.

  • Publication number: 20140127397
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for the production of high-capacity kish graphitic lithium-insertion anode materials and negative electrodes prepared therefrom for lithium-ion batteries. The graphitic materials are produced by precipitating excess carbon present in supersaturated solutions of carbon in iron/steel uninoculated or inoculated with metals/metalloid singly or in combination. The form of carbon used for dissolution is a carbon-containing polymeric precursor such as biomaterials and non-biodegradable plastic wastes, the carbonization of which can be carried out in situ or prior to addition in the melt. The graphitic products deliver reversible capacities between 300 and 600 mAh·g?1 with flat voltage profiles for electrochemical insertion/deinsertion of lithium at potentials less than 200 mV.
