  • Publication number: 20240171260
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems for operating a wireless satellite service are disclosed. One method includes maintaining, by a satellite service server, a database of an activation status of each of a plurality of subscriber devices as provided by a plurality of terrestrial service providers, receiving, by a satellite network, a request from a wireless device to access the wireless satellite service through a satellite link, wherein the satellite network is electronically connected to the satellite service server, querying, by the satellite network, the satellite service server to confirm whether the wireless device requesting access to the wireless satellite service is a subscriber device that is activated, providing, by the satellite service server, the activation status of the wireless device to the satellite network, and performing, by the satellite network, a wireless device attachment process with a one of the plurality terrestrial service providers based upon the activation status.

  • Patent number: 11689522
Abstract: System and computer-implemented method for secure hybrid cloud connectivity between an application in a public cloud service and an on-premises service supported by an on-premises appliance includes launching a public cloud gateway appliance in the public cloud service. The public cloud gateway appliance is configured with security information associated with the on-premises appliance. The on-premises appliance is provided with contact information associated with the public cloud gateway appliance. A communication channel is established, using an outbound port, from the on-premises appliance to the public cloud gateway appliance that is secured based on the security information associated with the on-premises appliance and the contact information associated with the public cloud gateway appliance.

  • Patent number: 5939286
Abstract: The present invention describes hybrid interferon fusion polypeptides formed of a first segment that contains the N-terminal amino acid sequence of an interferon-tau polypeptide, and a second segment that contains the C-terminal amino acid sequence of a non-tau interferon type I polypeptide. The two segments are joined in the region of a mature interferon polypeptide between about residues 8 and 37. Also described are nucleic acid sequences encoding such interferon fusion polypeptides, expression vectors containing such sequences, and therapeutic applications of the interferon fusion polypeptides. The therapeutic applications include antiviral and anticellular proliferation applications. One advantage of the interferon fusion polypeptides of the present invention is that they do not have cytotoxic side-effects when used to treat cells.
