    Abstract: A method, and a system performing a method, for determining an optimal needle path includes generating a plurality of candidate needle paths from image data of a patient, extracting a cuboid of image data around each candidate needle path, calculating a tissue resistance index from each cuboid of image data around each candidate needle path, and calculating a value for each candidate needle path based on the calculated tissue resistance index. The candidate needle path with the lowest value is selected as the optimal needle path. The tissue resistance value may be displayed on a display.

    Abstract: A system and techniques are provided for suggesting a surgery plan and a surgical instrument selection. In some embodiments, the system may be configured to receive a set of inputs for a surgical procedure for a patient. Subsequently, the system may determine one or more potential plans for the surgical procedure based at least in part on the set of inputs and, in some implementations, a machine learning model. The system may then receive a selection of a plan from the one or more potential plans and determine a plurality of surgical instruments corresponding to the plan from the selection. Accordingly, the system may then be configured to provide an output that indicates the plurality of surgical instruments to load in a surgical tray. In some embodiments, the system may be configured to load the plurality of surgical instruments into the surgical tray.

    Abstract: A system and an ablation probe of a system monitors insertion depth during an ablation procedure. The ablation probe includes a housing, an elongated shaft extending from the housing, a distance sensor operably coupled to the housing, and a microcontroller operably coupled to the distance sensor. The elongated shaft is configured to be inserted through a skin surface. The distance sensor measures a distance value between the housing and the skin surface. The microcontroller receives the measured distance value from the distance sensor, calculates an insertion depth value of the elongated shaft based on the received measured distance value, and causes a display unit to display the calculated insertion depth value.
