  • Patent number: 9250686
Abstract: An approach is provided for monitoring, assessing, and managing power source performance. Depletion of a power source of a mobile device caused by executing a plurality of activities is determined. A duration value is determined for executing each of the activities. The duration values are attributed to the depletion. Statistical data corresponding to performance of the power source is generated.

  • Patent number: 8925070
Abstract: An approach is provided for authenticating using user actions. A prompt is initiated on a display for an input to authenticate a user. The input is received as a sequence of user actions on the display. A predetermined sequence associated with the user is retrieved. The received sequence is compared with the predetermined sequence to determine a match. The user is declared to be authenticated based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 8713454
Abstract: An approach is provided for sharing the virtual workspaces of a plurality of user devices. One of the plurality of devices is designated as the only active device. The active device submits an update of the virtual workspace of the active device. Then an update of the virtual workspaces of the other devices is initiated that includes the workspace of the active device. A request from one of the other devices to become active is granted and the previously active device is undesignated as active.

  • Patent number: 8401168
Abstract: A system and method for ring delay on a user agent. A destination user agent may receive a request from an origination user agent to establish a session between the two user agents. The destination user agent may delay ringing according to a ring delay parameter. If the request has not been terminated by the time the ring delay parameter is met, the destination user agent may ring and a session may occur between the origination user agent and destination user agent. If the request is terminated before the ring delay parameter is met, the destination user agent may never ring. The ring delay parameter may be a ring delay time period. The ring delay parameter may be received as part of the request from the origination user agent, set by the destination user agent, or set by a service provider for the destination user agent.

  • Publication number: 20120278125
Abstract: An approach is provided for performing programmatic assessment of process management applications. A representative process of a workflow is selected. The representative process is executed on a source business process management platform and a target business process management platform. A first set of one or more metric values is captured from the source platform in the execution of the representative process. A second set of one or more metric values is captured from the target platform in the execution of the representative process. An assessment score is generated based on the first set of metric values and the second set of metric values. A determination is made whether to migrate from the source platform to the target platform based on the assessment score.

  • Publication number: 20110099549
Abstract: This disclosure details the implementation of apparatuses, methods and systems of a reminder manager for project development (hereinafter, “R-Manager”). In one embodiment, a R-Manager system may implement a daemon application to monitor a plurality of code development entities, maintain a list of reminders and associated tasks and send reminders to users. In one embodiment, the R-Manager allows a user to directly write a reminder in a segment of source code, and then locate and add the embedded reminder to the system by automatically scanning the body of the source file. The R-Manager system can also enforce the completion of a task if the reminder of the task has expired and the task has not been marked as completed.
