    Abstract: A tool for spacing and holding a first framing member relative to a second framing member has a first bar and a second bar that are slidably interconnected. A first stop and a second stop are connected to the first bar and a first and second counter-stop are connected to the second bar. The first stop and first counter-stop form a first jaw and the second stop and the second counter-stop form a second jaw. A mechanism is provided for moving the second bar relative to the first bar. Movement of the handle from an open position to a closed position moves the first and second jaws from the open position to the closed position.
