    Abstract: A multilayer film includes a first film including at least a first layer and a second layer, and a second film extrusion coated onto the first layer of the first film. The multilayer film is free of adhesives. The first layer of the first film includes a first high density polyethylene (HDPE) having a density of from 0.935 to 0.965 g/cc and a melt index I2 of 0.3 to 2.0 and the second layer of the first film includes a polyolefin plastomer having a density of from 0.885 to 0.910 g/cc. The second film includes a second high density polyethylene (HDPE) having a density of from 0.945 to 0.965 g/cc and a melt index I?2 #191 of 4.0 to 20.0.
