    Abstract: Generating a control signal for a weight ratio of objects in hierarchy levels including a target weight ratio between weight variables of objects at a hierarchy level, generating a cost function corresponding to the weight ratio hierarchy which, for an optimal solution of the cost function, a ratio of values for weight variables of the objects in the level will be equal to the target weight ratio; obtaining a constraint related to the weight variables in a formulation supported by an optimization solver; and combining the cost function and the constraint in such a way as to obtain an optimization problem which, when input into the optimization solver, may have an optimal, or almost optimal, solution satisfying the constraint. The control signal is generated to control a device in accordance with the solution.
