  • Publication number: 20070205977
Abstract: A backlight assembly driving apparatus for a liquid crystal display device includes a light emitting diode string of serially connected light emitting diodes, and switching devices connected in parallel to and in a one-to-one correspondence with the light emitting diodes to conduct or turn off current applied to a correspondingly parallel-connected light emitting diode.

  • Publication number: 20070081330
Abstract: A light emitting package is disclosed that can generate a white light while controlling Red, Green and Blue light emitting diodes (“LEDs”) simultaneously. In the light emitting package, a plurality of LEDs are connected in series to one another. The plurality of LEDs are responsive to one driving voltage. Currents flowing through the plurality of LEDs are controlled by a current adjuster. Consequently, the plurality of LEDs are driven by the currents different from one another in amount.

  • Publication number: 20060119295
Abstract: A method of driving a lamp of a liquid crystal display device includes generating a control signal; generating a first drive signal using the control signal; generating a second drive signal by shifting a voltage level of the first drive signal; selectively outputting one of a high potential supply voltage and a low potential supply voltage in response to the second drive signal; transforming the selectively outputted voltage; and supplying the transformed voltage to a lamp.

  • Publication number: 20050225514
Abstract: A backlight driving system is provided for a liquid crystal display device. The backlight driving system comprises at least one backlight having at least one terminal, an inverter and at least one transformer. The inverter supplies a voltage to the backlight and has first and second output terminals. The transformer has a first input coil and a second input coil that are connected to the first and the second output terminals of the inverter. The transformer transforms the voltage outputted from the inverter and applies a transformed voltage to the backlight via the terminal of the backlight.
