  • Publication number: 20110285308
Abstract: A Light Emitting Diode safety illumination device with thermal control and dimming compatibility for use with incandescent light dimmers and light fixtures. Circuit method and structure combine to provide thermal curve management of temperature control parameters overriding and taking priority over power and dimming of the intensity of illumination.

    Publication date: November 24, 2011
Inventors: Bonnie A. Crystal, Sik Hing Yuen, Pui Hang Yuen
  • Publication number: 20110128742
Abstract: An illumination device of high intensity light emitting diodes, produces broad illumination with high efficiency, electromagnetic compatibility, and human safety, at low manufacturing cost. Special structures of the device simultaneously provide highly efficient heat sinking, human safety protection, electromagnetic shielding, optical optimization, and 3-dimensional compatibility with traditional incandescent lamp fixtures and applications. Structures, shape, and layers of materials of the device enable industry standard safety requirements to be met.

  • Patent number: 6891471
Abstract: An object tracking system is constructed by linking a plurality of devices. Each device includes an RF transceiver, memory, a user interface and a processor for coordination and management of these components. The devices are programmed to form a link with another compatible device by wirelessly exchanging their unique ID codes for storage in the other's memory. The devices are responsive to messages from each device whose ID is stored in memory. Responses may range from sounding an alarm to actuation of a switch to detection of the presence or absence of another linked device. The simple, linkable devices, permit construction of complex and flexible networks for the purposes of object tracking, proximity detection, remote actuation and more. Each of the operations including linking, unlinking and general action is initiated by a single key of the device.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 6, 2002
Date of Patent: May 10, 2005
Inventors: Pui Hang Yuen, Sik Hing Yuen, Laurence J. Minikes
