Abstract: Examples relate to devices, systems, and methods for fluid collection. A fluid collection system may include a fluid collection device configured to collect fluid discharged from a user, a fluid collection container configured to receive the fluid from the fluid collection device, a pump in fluid communication with the fluid collection container configured to pull an at least partial vacuum on an interior region of the fluid collection container effective to draw fluid from the fluid collection device into the fluid collection container. The fluid collection container is either a reusable container or a disposable container. At least the pump and the disposable container are sized and dimensioned to be disposed within a portable carrying case.

Abstract: Examples relate to devices, systems, and methods for fluid collection such as urine. A portable urine collection system includes a urine collection device, a conduit in fluid communication with the urine collection device, a urine collection container having an interior region, a pump, and a container support configured to detachably secure to a motorized wheelchair that is adjustable between a sitting orientation and a standing orientation. The pump is configured to pull an at least partial vacuum on the interior region of the urine collection container effective to draw urine from the urine collection device through the conduit into the urine collection container when the motorized wheelchair is in each of the sitting orientation and the standing orientation. The container support is sized and dimensioned to support the urine collection container and the pump therein.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are medical devices, systems, and methods for collecting urine output from a patient, generally including a urine receiving device and a collection container coupled with the urine receiving device. Collection devices described herein can automatically determine collected urine volume, and also automatically determine protein content, salt content and pH of the collected urine. Collection devices can automatically display different colors according to collected volumes of urine. Some devices can determine the volume of urine within a patient's bladder. Systems can include a bladder volume device and logic to facilitate communication with external entities. Some systems may also include a urine collection device. Urine receiving devices can include external catheters.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a urinary detection system including a plurality of sensors configured to detect a urine sample and one or more analytes within the urine sample, the plurality of sensors selected from the group consisting of a moisture sensor, a pH sensor, a blood sensor, a bacteria sensor, and combinations thereof. The system further includes a console in communication with the plurality of sensors, the console including one or more processors, an energy source, non-transitory computer readable medium and a plurality of logic modules.

The fluid collection assembly further includes at least one porous material disposed in the chamber and a tube in fluid communication with the fluid outlet, the tube including a hydrophilic material exhibiting a porous structure configured to wick fluid from the chamber without the assistance of a pump.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a urine collection bag, system, and methods directed to automated measurement of a quantity of urine. The urine collection system can include the urine collection bag, a catheter, and flexible drainage tubing. The urine collection bag can include a collection area, force sensors, and circuitry configured to determine the volume of urine in the collection area based on pressure or weight measured by the force sensors, and the specific gravity of the urine. The catheter may include a small female external catheter (FEC) with an opening on a top side, a wicking catheter with a wicking area on a top side, a finger-mountable catheter, or a male external catheter (MEC). The tubing may be secured to a patient's leg with a stabilization device or a fabric strap. The catheter can remain on a patient while the patient stands or walks.
