    Abstract: A creaseproofing composition prepared by reacting urea with a monoalkyl ether of an ethylene glycol having 1 to 10 ethyleneoxy groups, removing the excess monoalkyl ether and then reacting the remaining mixture without isolation of any carbamate formed with formaldehyde. The composition obtained and its method of use as a creaseproofing chemical are described.
