The method includes: receiving, by user equipment UE, a non-access stratum NAS security mode command message from a mobility management entity MME, where the NAS security mode command message carries first verification matching information used to verify UE capability information received by the MIME; determining, by the UE based on the first verification matching information, whether the UE capability information received by the MME is consistent with UE capability information sent by the UE to the MIME; and if the UE capability information received by the MME is consistent with the UE capability information sent by the UE to the MME, sending, by the UE, a NAS security mode complete message to the MME.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method of identifying packet latency in a software defined datacenter (SDDC) that includes a network and multiple host computers executing multiple machines. At a first host computer, the method identifies and stores (i) multiple time values associated with several packet processing operations performed on a particular packet sent by a first machine executing on the first host computer, and (ii) a time value associated with packet transmission through the SDDC network from the first host computer to a second host computer that is a destination of the particular packet. The method provides the stored time values to a set of one or more controllers to process to identify multiple latencies experienced by multiple packets processed in the SDDC.

Abstract: A wrapper layer over a target interface receives requests from client devices over a different interface, converts the requests into a format that is compatible with the target interface, and transmits each converted request over the target interface for processing by a service. The wrapper layer also processes a request by a client device to subscribe to a certain type of update made via the target interface by verifying that the client device is authorized to access a resource associated with that type of update and creating a subscription that identifies the client device and the type of update. When the wrapper layer subsequently receives a request corresponding to that type of update, the wrapper layer matches attributes of the request to the subscription by the client device and transmits a message notifying the client device of the request.

Abstract: Described herein are techniques for integrating external sensors to an edge device, such as for ingesting data into a data intake and query system. The edge device has an internal message broker for communicating with internal (e.g., preconfigured, recognized) sensors, and an external message broker for communicating with external (e.g., customer-configured, otherwise unrecognized) sensors. The external message broker provides access to customer configuration of external sensors, but is logically quarantined from the internal message broker to prevent unwanted customer access to internal configurations. The internal and external message brokers interface only via a bridging service that transforms external sensor data into data based on customer-configurable transformations. The transformed data can be handled by the edge device and/or downstream components (e.g., a data intake and query system) in the same manner as internal sensor data.

Abstract: A method for protecting a service account includes: configuring association information for a service account of a user in a Personal Communication Profile (PCP) of the user at a network side; authenticating the association information when the user logs on an application server with the service account through User Equipment (UE); allowing the user to log on the application server if the authentication succeeds. Embodiments of the present invention also disclose systems, PCP storage apparatuses and application servers for protecting the service account. In embodiments of the present invention, besides protecting the service account by a static password, the user can implement an enhanced protection for the service account without receiving the dynamic password through a short message, which dramatically reduces the time delay for the user to log-on the application server. Further, the user needs not purchase the password card additionally. Therefore, the competitiveness of the application server is improved.
