    Abstract: A plasma processing apparatus includes a plasma processing chamber, a metrology component, and a controller. The plasma processing chamber is configured to contain a plasma comprising first ions having a first mass and second ions having a second mass greater than the first mass. The metrology component is operatively coupled to the plasma and configured to collect measurements indicative of ion density in the plasma. The controller is coupled to the metrology component and configured to calculate a delay according to ion diffusion time constants determined from the measurements. The delay is between a source power pulse and a bias power pulse. The apparatus may also include a bias power supply configured to apply the bias power pulse after the delay to a substrate holder configured to support a substrate to deliver an energetic ion flux comprising the second ions to the substrate.

    Abstract: An automated checkout system modifies received images of machine-readable labels to improve the performance of a label detection model that the system uses to decode item identifiers encoded in the machine-readable labels. For example, the automated checkout system may transform subregions of an image of a machine-readable label to adjust for distortions in the image's depiction of the machine-readable label. Similarly, the automated checkout system may identify readable regions within received images of machine-readable labels and apply a label detection model to those readable regions. By modifying received images of machine-readable labels, these techniques improve on existing computer-vision technologies by allowing for the effective decoding of machine-readable labels based on real-world images using relatively clean training data.

The method includes: establishing a model of two-phase annular flow based on the two-dimensional Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation; projecting the system onto the eigenspace of the two-dimensional Sturm-Liouville operator using modal decomposition; establishing the closed-loop system and deriving the sufficient condition for internal exponential stability and the satisfaction of given performance criteria using the direct Lyapunov method, thereby solving the H? control problem for the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky system. The advantages of this invention include: simpler implementation for practical engineering, less implementation devices, and effective suppression and robustness against external disturbances.

After obtaining the target convolutional kernel of the feature extraction convolutional neural network, this application will cut the input feature map obtained from the preprocessed image according to the preset image size into multiple abutting input feature submaps. Each input feature submap will be zero-padded to obtain the preprocessed feature submap. Then, for each preprocessed feature submap, the Karatsuba algorithm will be used to reduce the multiplier resource consumption during the convolution operation between the target convolutional kernel and the preprocessed feature submap, effectively suppressing the growth of adder resource consumption during the convolution operation, resulting in the output feature submap. Subsequently, multiple output feature submaps will be overlapped and the boundary of the overlapped feature map will be cropped to obtain the output feature map.
