The sidelink discontinuous reception implementation method in the embodiment of this application includes: receiving, by a first terminal, a sidelink discontinuous reception command media access control control element SL DRX command MAC CE sent by a second terminal, where the SL DRX command MAC CE carries a valid object and/or a range of the SL DRX command MAC CE; and performing, by the first terminal, a first operation according to the valid object and/or range of the SL DRX command MAC CE. Abstract: A communication path switching method includes receiving a reconfiguration message; and starting a target timer in a process of switching from a first path to a second path based on the reconfiguration message. The reconfiguration message is used for indicating the remote UE to switch from the first path to the second path. The first path includes a direct connection between the remote UE and a first base station, and the second path includes a connection between the remote UE and a second base station via a first relay UE. The target timer is used for the remote UE to determine a switching result of switching from the first path to the second path.

Abstract: A discontinuous reception method includes performing sidelink-based discontinuous reception for a second terminal according to first indication information and/or first configuration information for discontinuous reception. The first configuration information includes configuration information of a timer, and the timer is used to indicate whether the first terminal needs to monitor control signaling and/or data from the second terminal. The first indication information includes sidelink control information and is used to indicate the first terminal to receive a first resource for initial transmission and retransmission and/or a feedback resource.
