    Abstract: Compositions containing an effective amount of mesodermal-like multipotent mammalian mononuclear cells that express both CD34 and M-cadherin cell surface markers are used for preventing, treating or reducing the severity of tissue ischemia or an ischemia associated disorder in a mammal. Such uses may include repopulating an in vivo site with new myocytes and/or vascularizing an ischemic or adjacent tissue. Detection of the level and/or distribution of CD34+/M-cadherin+ mesodermal-like precursor cells in a mammalian tissue sample is used to diagnose, among other things, whether transplantation of autologous CD34+/M-cadherin+ mesodermal-like precursor cells to an ischemic site is indicated.

The current invention provides recombinant hosts for producing P(3HB-co-4HB) wherein the plasmid including succinate semialdehyde dehydrogenase gene (sucD gene) and 4-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase gene (4hbD gene) further includes pyruvate decarboxylase promoter (Ppdc). It was found that the 4HB monomer content in P(3HB-co-4HB) is significantly enhanced to be over 20 mol %, in the range of 8.8 to 23 mol %.

The method includes storing a library of shape modifications for cells in the design library used for implementation of the circuit. The library of shape modifications includes the results of process-specific calibration of the shape modifications which indicate adjustment of a circuit parameter caused by applying the shape modifications to the cells. The layout file is analyzed to identify a cell for adjustment of the circuit parameter. A shape modification calibrated to achieve the desired adjustment is selected from the library. The shape modification is applied to the identified cell in the layout file to produce a modified layout file. The modified layout file can be used for tape out, and subsequently for manufacturing of an improved integrated circuit.

    Abstract: Plant viral vectors have great potential in rapid production of proteins, but no simple. Here a geminivirus-based system for high-yield and rapid production of oligomeric protein complexes, including virus-like particle (VLP) vaccines and monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) is described. In particular, a single vector that contains two non-competing replicons for transient expression in Nicotiana benthamiana leaves is described. The correct assembly of these subunit proteins into functional oligomeric structures (VLPs or full-size mAb) is also described. This system advances plant transient expression technology by eliminating the need for non-competing viruses, and thus, enhances the realistic commercial application of this technology for producing multiple-subunit protein complexes.
