    Abstract: The present application provides a composite positive electrode material and a preparation method therefor, and a lithium ion battery. The positive electrode material comprises a core and a cladding layer cladded on the surface of the core, the core comprises a lithium-rich positive electrode material, and the cladding layer comprises an n-type thermoelectric material. The method comprises: compounding the lithium-rich positive electrode material with the n-type thermoelectric material to obtain the composite positive electrode material. The compounding method comprises: method I, mixing the lithium-rich positive electrode material with the n-type thermoelectric material for treatment to obtain the composite positive electrode material; or method II, dispersing and treating raw materials of the lithium-rich positive electrode material and the n-type thermoelectric material to obtain the composite positive electrode material.
